1996-97 HIGHLIGHTS: With Tampa Bay he recorded his 100th career assist on November 8, a 5-5 tie with Pittsburgh on the first of two assists...recorded three consecutive two-point games from Dec. 28-Jan. 3, scoring 1-5-6...led the team for the third consecutive season with 238 shots on goal, including a season-high eight on Dec. 14 vs NY Islanders when he recorded an assist...was plus 6 over three games from Oct. 12-20 and a plus 8 from Feb. 15-25, including a plus 3 on Feb. 17...had one GTG vs Edmonton on Dec. 12...scored six PPGs, including goals in two straight games on Mar. 8-9...was the third consecutive season that he scored 10-or-more goals...had a shot on goal in every game but three; Jan. 9 at Philadelphia, Mar. 4 at NY Islanders and Mar. 13 at Hartford...scored points (7-17-24) in 21 of last 47 games and 29 points (10-19-29) in last 56 games...along with Rob Zaumner, has played the most games as a Tampa Bay Lightning with 340...finished second in powerplay scoring with 6-16-22 and had 0-1-1 shorthanded...scored 8-18-26 at home and 4-10-14 on the road...has missed just three regular season games in last three seasons...led Lightning defencemen in goals, assists and points for third consecutive season with 12-28-40 in 79 games...played for Czech Republic in 1996 World Cup of Hockey, going scoreless in three games.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Entering his sixth NHL season in 1997-98...was the first overall selection by Tampa Bay and first in franchise history in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft...began his career in the Czechoslovakian Elite League in 1990-91, collecting 2-2-4 in 14 games...played on the Czechoslovakian Jr. National Team at the 1992 World Jr. Championships...played in 67 games during his rookie season with Tampa Bay in 1992-93, registering 6-15-21...scored his first career NHL goal vs Edmonton on Oct. 20, 1992, while recording a plus 3 for the game...registered his first multiple point game of NHL career with 1-1-2 vs Quebec on Oct. 27, 1992...played in his 100th career NHL game on Jan. 26, 1994 vs Florida...played one game for the Czech Republic at the 1994 World Championships before injuring ligaments in his right knee...one of two players to appear in all 48 games during the 1994-95 season, registering a then career-high 12 goals and adding 11 assists for 23 points...led the Lightning with seven powerplay goals that season...posted a career-high six-game point-scoring streak with 3-3-6 from March 18-31, 1995...his 12 goals in 1994-95 topped his combined totals of nine during his first two NHL seasons and placed him third among NHL defencemen...finished second on the Lightning in scoring in 1995-96 with 16-49-65, establishing a single-season career-high in goals, assists and points...his 65 points established a team record for Lightning blueliners...appeared in his first NHL All-Star Game on Jan. 20, 1996 in Boston...has two career NHL overtime points with 0-2-2...was one of four remaining players from the first game in Tampa Bay's NHL history (Andersson, Bradley and Zaumner).

PERSONAL: Hobbies include listening to music, playing tennis and fishing...his older brother, Martin, was selected by the Hartford Whalers in the second round, 31st overall, in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft...childhood idol was Ray Bourque and he was paired with the Boston superstar in the 1996 NHL All-Star Game at Boston...is an avid concert attendee and has met several bands including Van Halen, Metallica, Queensryche and Jackyl upon their tour stops in Tampa Bay.
