Two-Men

Canada's Pierre Lueders and Dave MacEachern and Italy's Guenther Huber and Antonio Tartaglia tied for the gold medal. They had the exact same combined time of 3 minutes, 37.24 seconds. It was the first time in Olympic bobsled history that gold medals were awarded to two teams.

Canadians: Edmonton's Pierre Lueders and PEI's Dave MacEachern won the gold along with Italy's Huber and Tartaglia. Lueders made up three hundredths of a second on the final run. Huber led by five hundredths after the first run but Lueders chipped off one-hundredths in both his second and third runs.

Chris Lori and Jack Pyc, finished in 12th place with a time of 3 minutes, 38.98 seconds.


Four-Man

Christoph Langen's Germany 2 won the four-man bobsled. Their time was 2 minutes, 39.41 seconds. They were six tenths of a second ahead of Switzerland's Marcel Rohner.

The bronze went to both Britain's Sean Olsson and France's Bruno Mingeon. They had the exact same time of 2 minutes, 40.06 seconds thanks to a great final run by France 1.
