Men's Single
Georg Hackl dominated the men's singles event. The 31-year-old German won in a time of 3 minutes, 18.436 seconds. Hackl had the two fastest times of the day and was the fastest in all four runs. Some were mad about his new booties complaining that they were too aerodynamic. It was Hackl's third straight gold medal in this event. Italian Armin Zoeggeler won the silver with a time of 3 minutes, 18.939 seconds. Zoeggeler won a bronze in the last Winter Olympics. Jens Mueller of Germany took home the bronze.
