The Adventures of Mr Ching!!

As just a few of you know, Mr. Ching has been playing at hide & seek for just over 2 weeks now. I have and live in a very large warehouse with a 1,400 sq. ft. apt., a 800 sq. ft office, and the rest is an open area. The building is well insulated, have cat door's installed in both office and apt. doors, both door's open only into the large open space in the warehouse area where I keep my cars parked, boxes stored and do a few projects, this space is swept and kept clean & uncluttered.

On Sunday 2 weeks ago Mr. Ching started to look about the place, he'd look here and there, sometimes running about and seemed to be enjoying all the new space and smell's. This continued through Sunday into Monday when I went to work. When I returned from work I was greeted by Simon and Bogart, looked for Mr. Ching to feed them dinner. Mr. Ching didn't show for dinner, looked about the place for a couple hours not finding him. That night I topped off the food and water bowel, sprinkled some baby powder around leading to the cat door, kept Simon and Bogart with me that night. On Tuesday morning I found foot prints leading to the cat door and into the warehouse area. For the next 3 days he played this hide and seek, showing himself, eating a bit, sitting and looking about the apt.........................that's the way it started, he's been outside for almost 4 week's now.........till Sunday morning that is....

Saturday I started the day early, looked about the area then sat down in front of this place having a large cup of coffee, contemplating on my schedule for the day, get new poster's out, and check with neighbors, etc. I couldn't get much sleep that night, I spent the time outside in
hopes of seeing him, and finally at 6 a.m. Sunday morning I went to bed. I left the bay door open (which I've been doing for some time now) and I forgot to latch the cat doors to keep Simon and Bogart inside the apt. I don't know what time it was, I think I was dreaming when hearing Mr. Ching's ruff meowl over and over, I don't know what made me open my eye's, but when I did I was looking at a black face with one eye staring back.........that eye belonging to Mr. Ching!

As the rest is rather long, I'm going to be brief as I can.............He's a little ruff looking, and very, very thin, more like skin and bones. I called the Emergency Animal Hospital yesterday (as my vet services there) and received info on his care till I could get him to the vet this morning. After a good brushing and combing
yesterday which he thoroughly enjoyed and some food tips from Kate we called it a day. The Vet has him on a high vitamin supplement, Nutri-Cal, Hill's Prescription a/d wet food, and Pedialyte water. After his tantrum from his trip to the vet, he's resting and taking very short naps rite now. He doesn't have a scratch, bite or mark on him (except for a flea or two I may have missed) and he is wanting a lot of attention rite now (which at this time he is laying next to me), and yes, his warehouse time is out for the time being even though I found and repaired the place he got out from.

Kate said "He went looking for his Mom, when He couldn't find Her, He came back here to the only place He could call Home". This is what I will believe since this thought has been in my mind since he dissapeared. Do I think the Process he put me thru was worth it............yes, we seem to be learning from each other.

Thank's To All Who Kept This Fellow In Their Thought's And Prayer's
