NOT REALLY NICK NEWS.. but Link 80 has been played on Live105 on Sunday on thier Soundcheck show. The selected track was "face down" and the soundcheck show features many local, upcoming and new artists. Live105 is the San Francisco area's big "atlernative rock" station. If you would like to show continued support for these guys on Live105 please go to their website and contact DJ "aaron axelsen" he's a rad guy!! And continue requesting them in your area. I know that this has little to do with Nick, but I'm sure he is proud of these guys.

Ok people.. sorry for the lag on july updates. so this one is kind of a mix for july and early august.
#1- ive been working hard on the new website. im hoping to have all of it posted for you to view soon. some of you have seen it. and thank you all for your comments and suggestions. ill make an annoucement as to when it will be ready.
#2- ALL BETS OFF - this is the band of Sammy The Mick, one of Nick's closest and best friends. These guys have been playing hard and going strong and have finally completed an 8 track cd. They have also put out a split 7" with THE CONTRADICTIONS. Please take a look at their website and mayeb pick up a copy of one of thier latest releases and support this band. #3- THE CONTRADICTIONS - this is the band of 14 year old Maxx Traina...yes that is Nick's little brother. They have played a few shows and one just recently with ALL BETS OFF. I dont know of them having a website just yet, however you can get that split mentioned above with ALL BETS OFF.
#4- Plea for Peace - I hope many of you went out to the plea for peace shows. Mike Park is a most awesome guy for putting all that together. NOt much to do with nick xcept that Mike was good friends with him and at the gilman show Link80 played Unbroken and gave a shout out to Nick.

Hey everyone,
Hope your summer is starting off on the right foot. I'm gonna make this quick. I have been working on the new school Nick Tribute page, but I've had to put all progress on hold. I'm trying to get a job so I can buy a scanner and faster connection to upload everything.
I will keep you posted as to when the new site will be up. Until then, have a great summer and don't get into too much trouble. Find something postitive out of each day, and go out of your way to help someone who appears to be sad.

Hey Everyone...
It's been a while since I sent out the last update, sorry about that. Alot is going on for me. I might be moving, and FINALLY got a computer at home. So I thought I'd send out an updae.
Good news for the site...
I am plannng to redesign the entire site. Thanks to my friend Aaron, I have over 70 pictures to be adding, as well as a picture of an adorable little boy who has been named after Nick. Last night I spent 2 hours trying to find a new webhosting service that offers more space, without annoying ad windows. So I am on a start. I'm also trying to come up with a new theme for the page. And as always I could use your help.
If you have any suggestions on any of the following please feel free to let me know.
-Is there anything on the site as it is now, that you think should be changed?
-Is there something NOT already on the site that you would like to see?
-A new title? I've thought of "Only God Can Judge Me: A Tribute to Nick Traina" send me your ideas
-A new color scheme? I was thinking of something a little more lively.
-Do you think the message board is effective? Should I add a chat page?
Again, if there is ANYTHING you would like to submit to appear on the page, or ANY ideas you want to share with me, feel free to email anytime. Now that I have computer access at home, it should be able to stay organized, focused, and on top of this project. I feel very strongly about having the visitors of this site, included on the designing of it. Kinda like "for the people by the people".
I am still looking to do the Tribute Compilation (alot of you have been asking). However, at this time, I do not have the funds to get started. And honestly, I'm quite dumb to the process. If you want to help out in any way, definitely let us know, we can use all the help we can get. I have begun collecting mp3's of the bands I think should appear. If you know of a band, or if you are in a band, that should be added, again, let me know.

Well, I'm officially old enough to drink and gamble. My birthday was the 23rd. Does this do me one bit of good? NO! I don't drink and have no money to gamble. Well, anyhow, I'm still limited to my use of a computer, so I have no real updates. I did add Joe's "Knowledge" website to the list on the links page. So check that out. What is really sickening is that I had to delete a message on the board that was a bit obscene and I didn't feel that this is the place for you to display your sexual desires. Take it to a cybersex message board please. REMEMBER... THE MESSAGE BOARD IS TO TALK ABOUT NICK.. NO FIGHTING.. NO STUPID MESSAGES.. SPEAK YOUR MIND BUT DO IT RESPECTFULLY AND PEACEFULLY.. I got a chance to speak with Kate (Joey's girlfriend), and hopefully soon she will be getting me a picture of thier baby boy to post here on the site,who indeed is named after Nick. What a lucky kid!

SEEN ON MSNBC!!! I don't know the details, but while I was in Vegas this weekend my friend saw a story on MSNBC about Danielle and they showed the contents section of this webpage. I'm doing my best to get a copy since I didn't get a chance to see it myself, besides, being the creator of the page I feel I deserve a copy. Sammy the Mick stopped by and commented on the message board. That makes me happy, cause for the longest time he hadn't seen the page but wanted to. No other updates right now. A FEW QUICK ADJUSTMENTS!
I've been working on a few little things that people have pointed out, hopefully this works. Check the following for a few minor adjustments, all a step toward the new layout.
"Pictures of Nick" - added a few new ones, and a cool animated display
"Birthday" - adjusted the purpose of this section
"Stuff Nick Did" - added link80 link, and made ONE page with lyrics
"Visitor Entries" - added cool animated display that HUNTER made
"Grave" - added thumbnails for pictures, and cleaned up directions

Summer's almost over, and for those of you going back to school, good luck and remember these important rules for your first day: 1) Make sure you have a writing utensil. 2)Know where your classes are before the frist day of school. This WILL make the first day better, trust me! ;-) Now on to the update, which is really just junk for now. I hope to be doing more soon.
#1 - LINK80 -
Many of you have been emailing me regarding their website. I now have some answers for you. The old one was messed up but now is a link to their new webpage which is being worked on and hope to be completed soon. The new site(www.link80.com) will be created and maintained by Mr. Davis and the rest of the band, and currently contains a picture I took on the front. I want to note that Nicky was doing an excellent job with the previous webpage for as long as I can remember. And she also helped me with a lot of stuff on this page. I wish her luck in her college adventure. ;-)
#2 - RYAN -
More unrelated webpage info, but I think it's important to note that Ryan, the new Link80 frontman is VERY good and if you can see him on their tour this fall, I recommend it. I have some pictures from their show on the 14 of July here. You can find pictures of Ryan and the others in action.
#3 - DANVILLE 9/18 -
The boys will be here in the bay area for a show and I would really like to go to it. So again, I am seeking a kind individual who would like some commute company. I live in Hayward and if you can help me out please email me. As a lot of you know, I can't afford a car, so I can't get myself to shows. Danville are one of those PT inaccessible suburb places. Aweful. HEY BAY AREA PEOPLE?we need to find the guys some other places to play.
#4 - SHOCKWAVE/MACROMEDIA FLASH -
My super special friend Hunter has recently begun working on a project for the page using some new software. I have seen a little of his progress and it seems to be coming along good. So far he is working with some photos of Nick and creating a little animated display. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then just stay tuned.
#5 - RE-CONSTRUCTION -
As I have mentioned, I am working on some ideas for redesigning the current look of the page. I have written up some layout notes and hope to be starting the new stuff soon. I want some input here. If there is anything you feel should be added, deleted or just have some ideas, email me and let me know.
#6 - TRIBUTE CD -
I mentioned this a while back with help of RJ and Corporate Rock Records. At this point the project is still in progress. I have heard a few rumors of another cd being put together by the members of White Trash Debutantes. I've tried a few times to confirm what I heard, as well as gather some info, and have been unsuccessful, so if anyone knows anything, could you please email me. As for our project you can find updates here.
#7 - KNOWLEDGE VIDEOS -
Finally, on VHS, I have copies of the 2 Knowledge videos that were made, Gnat and Clinton Youth. I thank Mike Park for his help, and to those of you who I have promised copies, I am currently working on trying to get them made. I don't have a second VCR but I'm looking to do something soon for you. Just hang in there!!

Just want to take a few minutes to thank a few people who have become dear to me through the process of creating this page. #1 The guys from Link80, as they have been very supportive and helpful, not only on the page but as friends too. #2 Hunter, he knows why, but for those of you who don't, he has just become a very big supporter in my life right now. #3 Rachel, Janice, RJ, Aron, Traci, and Sarah, who have become really cool friends since the beginning. #4 Everyone, since I am constantly getting emails from all the visitors thanking me and complimenting the page. IMPORTANT NOTICE:To those who plan to visit Nick's resting place, PLEASE DO NOT remove anything from the shrine that contains items left in Nick's memory. There have been incidents of this and it saddens me. Not only is it rude and unkind, but if it continues, the family may not allow just anyone to visit there. So please be respectful, and don't steal from a sacred place.
How is everyone's summer going? I hope good. I apologize for the lack of updates to the page. I have not had much time at the computer for webpage stuff...as most of you know, since I am hardly keeping up with emails. Also about the LINK80 page, I am not in any way affiliated with the construction of that page so I couldn't begin to tell you what is wrong or when it will be fixed. I have received many emails about this, and I'm sorry I can't help. It saddens me as well, so I guess all we can do is be patient.
Mike Park from Asianman has been working on getting me copies of the Knolwedge videos that can be found at Musicvideos.com. I know I have mentioned to many of you to send copies of material that I have been collecting, and I apologize for my inability to do so at the moment. Alot of things are going on in my personal life right now, and it just isn't possible. But if you stay in touch with me I hope to get those to you ASAP. I think that is all the update I have for you right now, but I hope to have more for you soon. I'm hoping to do an overhaul of the page, doing some clean-ups, adding some things that should have been done long ago..and more. So, I'll let you know when that happens. GOOD MORNING! Ok I have been here for almost 6 hours working on this page alone. And in about 3 hours I have to be to work. Guess I should tell you it's 8:15 in the morning and I have been in front of the computer since 10:30pm last night. It's a long story so email me if you are interested in knowing.

BRACE YOURSELVES FOR A LONG INFORMATIVE MESSAGE....MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
For the important information first, I hope that everyone in the bay area got a chance to see the First Cut Interview with Danielle. I myself got to record that interview twice and cried both times. I captured some photos from it and will be posting some on the page when I get a chance.
***IMPORTANT NOTE TO NON-BAY AREA RESIDENTS*** Or even those who missed the special. My good pal Janice has informed me of a site that will be running the entire interview thru realplayer until May 28th. I know I know short notice...but not to worry. You know you can count on me. I have already downloaded ALL the photos, realplayer files, as well as the text version of the interview and will be posting them all on the page so you can have unlimited access. But if you want to see it now go to http://firstcut.com. The computer lab that I use will be closing June11th. And will not reopen until June20th. I hope to load alot of new information at that time. I appreciate all your patience and again appreciate your support of the page. I may be getting some special goodies from Danielle as soon as Sammy the mick gets back in touch with me.
RJ is still working hard on the tribute Cd and im going to try to make more of an effort to help him. I have already constructed a somewhat more complete CD cover, however he still likes the old one. We'll both keep you posted on this.
I'm also working with Mike Park on getting his beta versions of the Knowledge videos transferred into VHS so I can have a copy. And hopefully have his permission to dub it fore most of you. If you still have not seen these videos you can do so at www.musicvideos.com. I also hope to find a way to add these files to the page.
Speaking of videos, I am on a search to find ANY footage anyone might have containing Nick either with Link80 or Knowledge (if there is any) as well as any pictures, articles and everything else there might be. I'm not a crazed fanatic. I guess you can say it's sort of like collecting baseball cards, or beanie babies (anyone trying to get the ones from mcd's? i got some free ones cause a stupid manager yelled at me and i complained ...hee.). But anyhow. Please contact me if you can get me anything. I'll pay no problem.
Well I think that does it for now, I hope you are all doing well and look forward to the 3 day weekend coming up. I will not gain anything by this extra day since I will be working straight through. However, have many plans coming up, well sort of. I mentioned about going to the Link80 Santa Cruz show this weekend, but unless I can find a ride to that, I will not be going. Ok a few quick notes cause I'm in a rush.
1. There are alot of people that are doing school projecst on Nick and his battles with bipolar. If you are doing a project please, if possible, send me a copy of any kind of hand outs, recordings (if oral presentation), or anything else. I would like to make them a part of the page and also just have a personal collection of what people are doing. It amazes as well as interests me.
2. Thanks to Janice I finally have a VHS of a Link80 show with Nick singing. This has urged me to find more recordings. So if you or anyone you know has any video footage of Nick, either on stage or just messing around, or even some pictures, please let me know. I would like to get a collection going for myself.
3. There will be another special interview with Danielle Steel for the people who live here in the bay area. On KRON Channel 4 at 8:30 Saturday 5/22. So set your VCR's. And I will be recording it also and will tell you about it.
So that is all the news I have for now. And for all the people who have been emailing me about Robbie, I have passed your comments to him but please, this is not Love Connection, and I am not that guy with the cheesy smile that is gonna hook you up with your dream date. I've been working alot and my mom has had another surgery, so just bear with me and I promise I'll get some stuff up here that is new. Hey What's Up? Didya Miss me?? I did. I dont know if im coming or going. Well a few things have been going on lately. Trying to help my mom out and stuff. And working. But enough of my personal life. What I want to Mention is that we Need to get motivated people and ANYONE that lives in the bay area needs to go out to nick's grave May1st. It is his birthday once again, and I would like to get a group shot for the page. So, get in touch and let me know if you need directions or whtever. Welcome and Happy New Year! Although I am a little late. There won't be too many changes or updates to this page for a while. I don't really have the time to always work on this page anymore. I have a new job, and I'm also trying to put together a webpage for a zine for my friends in Canada. If you want to check the progress on that just click here. When things come up, or when I get frustrated with that page, well I will work here. So if you check back and there's nothing new, that's why. I'm not letting the page go, just taking a break for a bit. I kinda promised Spoiled Whine I would make thier page a long time ago. HOWEVER. there are a few things you might want to check out. A friend of Nick's has died. To learn more click here. Also Gilman is in danger of being closed. There is an online petition that you can sign. So do your part and keep the scene alive. SIGN THE PETITION:DAMN THE MAN. Sign it even if you never go to gilman. Or don't even know what gilman is.
