    Family History: Came to Missouri from Tennessee a short time before the Civil War.
    He homesteaded land south and east of Foose Missouri, or five miles south
    of Buffalo MO. on a small creek known as Buffalo Branch. It was there that
    he brought his new wife and children after the death of his first wife.
    Robert died quite young leaving his wife and small children.
    His second wife Mary Finley remarried to James B. Hoover.

        It did not state on the census what state the children were born in, but
        looking at the other families I would say that the last child born in TN
        was about 9 yrs. old so from Missouri A. on down I believe were born in MO.
