Napoleon Bonaparte was born in 1769 in Ajaccio on Corsic (France). After a hard childhood and high school he became a military officer. During the contrrevolution, he massacred people, who wanted to change the government. For this - he got a rank of general.
He was sent to Italy to fight with Austria in 1792. This young general changed a poor, weak army into a brave army. After a quick victory, Napoleon was sent to Egypt (1798) - he succeed in conquering it. The situation in Europe forced him to get back to France.
In 1799 in Paris he kicked out the government and become a consul in 3-person government. Once more, Bonaparte destroyed enemy armies (Austrian, Russian etc.) (1800) in battles of Marengo and Hohenlinden. After becoming a first consul, Napoleon tried to conquer his greatest enemy, England. But preparation to that mortal combat were stopped by europian enemies of France. "No problem" - said Bonaparte and he crushed them at once in the battle of Austerlitz (Austria, Russia and Germany a little bit later).
He was now the emperor of France, which was almost as big as whole Europe (1805). Next, after a few winnings (Ilawa, Frydland), he attacked Russia (1812), but he was defeated... His soldiers died in difficult russian winter terms. Bonaparte lost everything, but didn't stop there... Napoleon created his next army and fought... 1 year.
In 1813 his men were completely defeated in the battle of Leipzig ("battle of nations"). He was obligated to emigrate on Elba, but that's not the end... Napoleon escaped and returned to France. He was fighting 100 days more with all of Europe ("Napoleonian 100 days"), before he was defeated once again... Europe was too strong.
In 1815 he lost everything in the battle of Waterloo. It was the end of long, bloody Napoleonian Wars period. Sent on St. Helene's Island "le petit corporal" died in 1821. But his legend still exists...
