the tired sky turned down its light
while we both said goodbye
we watched the colors fade away
to greet the lover's sky
the birds retired to their nests
the clouds all disappeared
i turned toward you and whispered soft:
"i'm glad i'm with you here"
side by side we stood around
and watched the stars appear
the ones that twinkled in the sky
the day when first i held you near
we stared into each others eyes
and felt the moon above
then kissed each other thru the night
while making such sweet love
we enjoyed each others company
while going for a walk
and then came back to hold each other
and shared some pillow talk
and when the moonlight said goodbye
the dawn broke through the sky
then once again i whispered soft:
"i'm glad i made you mine"
i pulled you toward my warm embrace
to somehow let you know
the words i said with love to you:
"forever i'll be yours"
