This page is still under construction. It will soon contain all the maps, mods, news, etc... you could possibly stand (or the links to these resources if they're too large for my poor little 5 meg limit :-P). Questions? Comments? E-mail my Punk Ass

Here you will find multiplayer strategies for Rainbow Six that I have learned merely by observing some of the better players.

Before we get too deeply into strategy...here are some basic rules to follow.

Rule # 1.)Always listen to the moderator (the person controlling the room)
Rule # 2.)If you don't like the moderator, call him/her many obscene names then leave the room quickly :-)
Rule # 3.)If you see me in a game...DONT KILL ME. (hehe ;-)
Rule # 4.)ALWAYS FOLLOW RULE #3, IT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE IN THE BOOK.
Rule # 5.)Rules were made to be broken...so go ahead (just don't say I didn't warn you)

And now for the

STRATEGY

Guide for Newbies

So, you're a Newbie eh? The first and most important thing I have to say to you is observe, observe, observe. This is perhaps the most important factor in becoming an Intermediate player. As long as you play frequently and practice the moves you observe, you'll be well on your way to becoming an Intermediate player in no time!

You'll often find two styles of play in Multiplayer games. "Campers" (people who stand still and snipe (press control to zoom in) in a key room where most of the foot traffic goes. Camping is often considered "cheap", but if it works for you, then use it. The second and most frequently encountered style is "rushing". Get to know the maps you're playing, find the quickest path that leads you to the enemy and obliterate them! This is definitely my favorite style of play. If you choose to use this style, it's important that you NEVER stand still. If you do, you'll likely fall victim to some lowly camper :-P If you choose to use this style, you're going to need to practice much more than you would if you chose the camping style. So don't get discouraged! Follow one of your teammates out of the starting point for the first few games and watch where they go and what they do.

You'll notice that if they get engaged in a close quarters battle, they'll probably start firing a few rounds and then they'll run around like a chicken with their head cut off. You'll be thinking "what the hell is this idiot doing?". Well, this idiot is dancing while he/she reloads (press delete to reload). If you don't dance while you reload, you'll find yourself flat on the floor before you know it. Practice dancing...once again don't get discouraged, it takes a lot of practice!

Weapons to choose

Always, and I do mean ALWAYS choose either the M-16 or the Car-15. In my opinion, the M-16 is the best gun to use if you choose the rush-in-kill-em-all-with-your-hair-on-fire style. If you're a lowly camper :-P, use the Car-15, It's more accurate, just a little less powerful. As soon as you start the game, press the .(period or >) button to change your rate of fire to 3 rounds per shot (instead of the default full-auto).

GET OUT THERE AND GO GET EM GRUNT!
