At the top end, of the human scale of society, lifestyle and means, are the people that have money - the "haves" - who use and depend on money to control and influence others and to safeguard their own "vested interests", which is yet another form of Satan's negativity and influence throughout society.

At the bottom end, of that societal scale of lifestyles and resources, are the people who do not have money (or much of it) - the "have-nots" - who live under the psychological specter, AND FEAR, of NOT HAVING ANY MONEY AT ALL! And such fear is so pervasive, and detrimental to life, that it drives ALL of the functions and operations OF this low-end of the societal scale of life.

If one feels the "need" of money (the addiction thereto), then one seeks, by any and all means, to fulfill that addiction...'er, need. And those any and all means include:

• "Selling" one's self into "slavery"; i.e., employment, and "working" at a "job" which one hates or, at best, tolerates, whereby one's talents and abilities are "wasted" (as well as one's time, energy and vitality - one does grow old, after all!), in servile "service" (which isn't even Service to others and humanity in a sense of the Golden Rule, "Do Unto Others, as You would Have Others Do Unto You!") to people of the top end of society (Oh, sure! It is said that your services and products are being "produced" for all of society, but if you can't "have" ALL or anything that society produces, because you don't make enough money to afford any or everything that is "produced", how can it be true that such production is "serving" one and all?) who have need of "servants" in order to fulfill their need for luxuries and the foibles of the rich (whether or not such "service" is direct OR indirect, as through employment in a Fortune 500 company OR otherwise, which in turn provides the "services", products or investments, to and for, those upper echelons of society.)
  

• Crime, drugs, alcohol, and any and all nefarious means of obtaining and using money, in the satisfaction of one's addictions.
  

• If one does not "sell" oneself, or exert great effort in finding and holding "legitimate" employment, OR one does not indulge or engage in "illegitimate" activities, then the other major societal source of fulfilling one's addictions is WELFARE, and the various social services, that exist to supposedly ameliorate one's "lack of money and resources", when actually the amelioration is three-fold:
  
  • 1. To "medicate" oneself, so that one is "drugged" on the "services", and such "dependency" that does thusly perpetuate the fear - the psychological FEAR - that, "Oh, my God! I don't have - or will soon not have - ANY MONEY! And then, Holy Mackerel, WHAT WILL I DO? There's NO WAY that I can live WITHOUT MONEY!",
    
  • 2. and secondly, TO PERPETUATE THE ADDICTION to money (even what little of it one might receive under most any welfare program),
    
  • 3. and thirdly, TO PERPETUATE societal, and the "vested interests", CONTROL OVER the people - the "have-nots", the "slaves" - AS exerted BY the social welfare "mechanisms" of society.
    

• Of course, the previous truths and indictments ALSO INCLUDE the medical profession, which assists in the "control of the slaves", by administering the official drugs and the medical, psychiatric and psychological "diagnoses" (read "judgements", always biased for the "Establishment" and those "vested interests"), which place one under a doctor's "care" and keep one "disabled" and thusly "eligible" for welfare benefits (and kept in the welfare "cage").
• And finally, if one does not succomb to any of the previous societal methodologies of Satan's negativity, the final recourse IS...RELIGION! Yes, in order to "salve", and ameliorate, that FEAR, of not having money, not having a life, not having a relationship (with a spouse OR God), or whatever......"Hey, that 'fear' IS REAL! If I don't have money, at least maybe I can have GOD!" Or so the dictum goes. And thusly "religion" becomes the "salvation" (and the "salve") of the people and their "fears" - "and the people rejoiced..." - as the soothsayers and prophets of "religion" gave the slaves and the societal "have-nots", that "Peace-of-mind" and absolution of their sins and fears (and, in this case, the "have-nots", being "led to the fold", INCLUDE any and everyone possessing lack-of-KNOWING, of Who and What they are, as a human being, REGARDLESS of income level).
  

  SO, the addiction to, and the fear of not having, MONEY, is the most pervasive distortion and negativity of modern society, that humanity and Satan could so create. Perhaps we, humanity, as a people, need to do as some of the drug-abuse programs are saying and advising: "Just Say NO!" And then - WITHOUT MONEY - mankind will finally KNOW what true FREEDOM, INDEPENDENCE, INTEGRITY, LOVE (of one and all!), RESPONSIBILITY (FOR oneself AND ALL!), and WORLD DEMOCRACY (PARTICIPATORY Democracy)......can be!!!
