The term refers to the many and various "advances" of human life and society upon this world, which, as shown by the geologic and fossil evidence thusfar accumulated, does prove that there have been over one hundred thousand human "civilizations" extant upon the Earth over the aeons, with our current civilization (since 9,644 B.C.) being but the most recent.
