The GENERAL CONTEXT of such use is:
The term refers to that principle and reality of the Cosmos and of Christ's/God's Law of One, that All That Is is "One", in and of such existence and reality, meaning: 1. that the very existence and Life of each and every entity of existence endures by reason of the reality that each entity is but a part of the totality of the Whole of the Cosmos - All That Is - and that each such entity has been created to be a CONTRIBUTION TO THAT WHOLE, NOT a detriment thereto!, and 2. that by acting, and being, and living, AS the integral part of the Whole which one IS, such individual Life shall be of the greatest and most which it can "be", as that "contribution" to the Whole which it was "born" to BE!, and so much more! Jerome especially tries to emphasize this reality in all of his writings, referring to the Oneness of humanity, of groups, and of individuals, WITH others and all, in and of their existence and realities, such so that, in whatever mankind should do, in any way, such principle and reality does and shall always be taken into account, as to that which is said and done.
