The "Work Ethic"
There is a certain "mentality" awash across our lands today, and it is based upon, as I have already noted elsewhere in these commentaries, the "programming" that is extant throughout our lives and which directs and influences our every action, word and deed. The "mentality" of which I speak is known as the "work ethic". It dictates that we - every one of us - shall, at ALL times, be "doing something". Everyone MUST, at each and every instant of our everyday lives, be PHYSICALLY "doing something".
And the "physical" approbation MEANS just that - doing something that can be SEEN, and thusly "monitored" (BY WHO? "Big Brother", maybe?), and "verified", by another, in "confirmation" (AND justification) that we actually WERE doing something, rather than - Heaven Forbid! - just "sitting there", thinking, OR, even worse, day-dreaming!
And thus does this cultural ethic (YES, it is "cultural", but where and how is another story that I will not address here) inflict its "curse" and travesty upon our lives. And a travesty it is, in that, according to its requirements, if one might be found "thinking", or making use of our mental faculties, rather than our hands, body, muscles or otherwise, there shall immediately be imposed a "judgement" that one is "goofing-off", and NOT fulfilling their "obligation" to give full succor and substance TO the society and economy that (supposedly) nurtures them (OR NOT!), and does fulfill (OR NOT!) their every need and necessity through its (society's) "largesse" and "caring", for one and all!
WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP! Such an ethic - the "work ethic" - is nothing more than just another form of "programmed" enslavement - monetary, economic enslavement, through our birth-to-the-death "programming", which tells us that we MUST "support" the status quo, the dictates of society and, what is more truly the case, the "interests" OF the "vested interests", and powers-that-be, which actually run our society and our world, CHIEF of which, of course, is the Prince of this world, Lucifer, his minions, and his MEANS of enslavement - the "representative", or third-party-agent OF his powers and dictates - MONEY!
Additionally, I will mention, is the "bias", or "classification", categorization, and permeation of society with differing "classes" of people - the poor, the disadvantaged, the less-than-intelligent, and the lesser-than-whatever-someone-else-may-be. In other words, the rich versus the poor, the "haves" versus the "have-nots", and on and on. Which is just another way, and means (by "classes" of society), of keeping all those "dysfunctional peoples" in their "places"- meaning under control. So, when the "lower classes" (i.e., the idiots, the stupid, the whatever-you-might-call-them) are "hard at work", at least providing efforts toward the "serving", and services to, the "upper" classes (the rich, the privileged, and other such "vested interests"), the "work ethic", as a means of programmed enslavement and control, does insure that such peoples will not be "getting into trouble", with their thoughts, actions and deeds, which are, naturally, dangerous and potentially harmful and/or disruptive, to the powers-that-be! And so the control of the population is quite efficiently and thoroughly effected.
IF ALL of mankind were ever to actually devote time to "thinking", reflection, actually "seeing" (understanding) the realities of their lives, almost any rational, cognizant, normal, and evolutionarily mature human being WOULD, quite soon, realize the travesty of their every-day lives, and the INJUSTICE of the "work ethic" that precludes, and prevents, them from being the FREE and INDEPENDENT person of INTEGRITY, conviction, commitment, and consanguinity TO, the REAL, and actual, human beings that we MIGHT BE, and which every one of us was actually born to be, a sea-change in the "pseudo-reality" of our every-day existence would occur mighty soon. BECAUSE, it is ONLY through the use, and faculty, of our MINDS, and our mental-spiritual "connections" with consciousness, that we can truly "become", and "be", that which we were meant to be.
So, in this actuality, does the "work ethic" actually work against us, and prevent us (through the imposition of controlled physical activity) from experiencing the thoughts, the feelings, the emotions, the understanding, and the KNOWING (see my E-book, "KNOWING: The Quantum Physics of Consciousness, Life & Reality!"), of that of which we are, of that which we might be and become, of the Who and What of ourselves, and of our innate, but repressed, KNOWING OF All That Is, including Infinite Consciousness (God).
I am reminded of the joke, that a dyslexic, whose functioning and rationality does many times tend to see things in reverse or backwards or opposite, has, at all times, his/her faith in, and prayers to, his/her "higher power": Dog. Well, in the same sense, does humanity need to see that the "work ethic", which it does "worship", is actually the opposite of what is needed for the goodness and betterment of mankind. Humanity needs to become "aware" OF the travesty of its lives, and to FIND oneself, itself - NOT the small-s "self", of selfishness, self-service and self-importance, but the large-S, of the Self, the Soul, of that which we actually ARE, IF we would but let ourselves become that which we were born to be - a FREE and INDEPENDENT human being of PURPOSE, INTEGRITY, TRUTH, TRUST, RESPONSIBILITY, LOVE and so much more!
ONLY in such a way, by "being" WHO and WHAT we were born to "be", might we really KNOW and enjoy our lives and realities, and thusly come to know God, rather than Dog, or Lucifer.
