Father Jerome's World Community Sermons

This Sermon will be looking at the realities of the near future, according to the famous Physicist-Futurist Freeman J. Dyson, of the Institute for Advanced Studies (I.A.S.), of Princeton University, New Jersey (which was Albert Einstein's "think-tank"). Freeman Dyson has attained considerable repute over the years as both a Theoretical-Applied Physicist and a Futurist. As a Physicist, he is famous for his scientific analysis of human evolution and the evolution of human civilization as well as for his conceptualization of the famous Dyson's Sphere, the astrophysical embodiment of a Class II human civilization which has harnessed 100% of the energy output of their Star/Sun by building a complete enclosure around their Sun (which then presents itself to the Universe as merely a "black-body", with no radiation of their Sun visible outside of the Sphere).

As a quick overview of Dyson's "stages" of Human Evolution throughout the Universe, let me briefly note his "Classes" of Human Civilization:

1. A CLASS 0 CIVILIZATION is one which uses the local, regional, fossil, wind, water and other natural and man-made sources of energy to provide the means of technologically "powering" such a civilization. This is where our current terrestrial civilization (since the re-establishment of human civilization, in 9644 B.C., following what the U.S. Geophysical Service [USGS] and geophysicists call the "Gothenburg Double Event", which occurred from 9654-9644 B.C.) is today - a CLASS 0 civilization, or one that is "starting over from scratch", following a cataclysmic destruction OF the previous civilization. As I have noted elsewhere in the pages of this website, in quoting famous Historian-Anthropologist Dr. Joseph Jochmans (see Father Jerome's Lectures), human civilization on this planet Earth has endured through over 100,000 civilizations, punctuated by the natural and man-made catastrophes that have brought them all down! As Dr. Jochmans has implied (and which is, according to the Records of Human History, so very true!), even though our current civilization is starting over and is Class 0, there have been previous human civilizations of Earth which have matured beyond Class 0 and have, literally, "gone to the stars". Such is the reason that it has been said that "earlier" Humanity is "out there", among the stars, waiting for us - the re-emerging civilization - to join them!
   
2. A CLASS I CIVILIZATION is one which uses the entire planetary resources of their planet to technologically "power" their unified, world-wide civilization. A Class 1 civilization may have just started to explore and travel to other planets of their solar/star system.
   
3. A CLASS II CIVILIZATION is one which uses the entire solar resources of their star system to "power" their star-system civilization (like Dyson's Sphere). They may have just started to explore and travel to other star systems.
   
4. A CLASS III CIVILIZATION is a human civilization that uses the entire galactic resources of the individual galaxy in which they are resident. They may have started to explore and travel to other galaxies of the Universe.
   
5. A CLASS IV CIVILIZATION is a human civilization that uses the entire resources of the Universe. Such a human civilization is usually beginning to explore transdimensional space and beyond.
   
6. And finally, a CLASS V CIVILIZATION is a human civilization that uses the entire resources of the Cosmos. Such a civilization is well transdimensional and beyond, traversing between various Cosmos' with ease.

Freeman Dyson is also famous as a Futurist, having what the media calls a near 100% "reliability" for predicting the future, as for example when he predicted the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the Soviet Union a few years before those events occurred.

I've recently reviewed a number of Dyson's works (which I am NOT going to list or footnote, because, in order to understand Dyson's "realities", one needs to read ALL of his works. In fact, as an additional thought, such might also be said about this author's writings as well.) Anyway, I'm going to concentrate on his concepts of future-reality, because I do think that they are the closest to actual, reliable and reputable REALITY, that one can find in today's societal secularity and secular world. But, first of all, I'm going to have to quote - or, rather, paraphrase - Dyson, in making some basic distinctions as to WHAT does constitute future-reality and just WHO is making the "predictions" OF such future-realities.

And in this case, future-reality is that MOST PROBABLE, most likely......

If you will remember (from other of my writings on this website, such as Father Jerome's Science Lecture on the Quantum Physics of TIME!), ALL and EVERY quantum "probability", of the past, the present and the future, does exist, IN the quantum realms of Cosmic unitary-field consciousness. All it takes IS, the "observation", creation, and selection OF, which "reality" shall become the extant "reality", AS CREATED BY ourselves - humanity, individually AND collectively - IN-THE-PRESENT-MOMENT of our existence and temporality! In other words, "reality-creation", and the actualities thereof, is all up to US! SO, the next 10 years is certainly dependent ON WHAT WE DO IN THE PRESENT - in the here-and-now, and what "changes" and events occur AS A RESULT OF that here-and now!

......WITHIN the realm OF today's secular knowledge (and that is what is important here - TODAY'S SECULAR KNOWLEDGE, which is what I will be writing about here - NOT any EXTRA-SECULAR or non-secular KNOWING, which is nominally accessible ONLY to a mature human mind anyway!) And THAT, in and of itself, is the most remarkable thing about Dyson's secular predictions. The fact that they DO - almost exactly - correspond WITH the ACTUAL FUTURE, AS actually seen or accessed NON-SECULARLY, BY any mature human mind, which might access such IN the Collective Consciousness of Humanity, where ALL the "records" and events of humanity - Past/Present/Future - DO EXIST, in that dimension of Cosmic Consciousness. (I do not know, personally, whether Dyson HAS an activated, functional/operational maturity of Mind, but it seems that he can certainly access it to a minimal extent!)

Anyway, getting back to the distinction that I wish to make here, Dyson, in his commentary, distinguishes between two different classes of secular prognosticators - the Futurists who "predict" the next 10 years, and the Futurists who go beyond 10 years, into the near future and beyond!

The first "class" of Futurist - those who concentrate only on the next 10 years - are primarily ECONOMIC FUTURISTS, who duly analyze current and past trends and human activities, and then assemble their "predictions", for the benefit of governments and corporate entities of business, who need to consult and incorporate such prognostications into their corporate and governmental "plans" for the near future. And that is the key word right there - NEAR FUTURE! Because such "planning", of corporate and governmental activity (certainly NOT "spiritual-activity"! - see ACTIVISM) over the next 10 years, IS LIMITED TO, and BY, the current technology and secular "knowledge" AS DOES EXIST TODAY!

In such an analysis, "predictions", and consequently "planning", are based entirely on that technology and secular knowledge OF TODAY! Because, in secular reality (or, I should say, "reality"), the technology and the secular "knowing", is nominally ONLY CERTAIN (more likely, POSSIBLE!) up to the next 10 years. Beyond that, unknown changes and progress in human "knowledge" and technology are considered to be too nebulous for reliable prediction! In other words, these "Futurists" WILL NOT "go-out-on-a-limb", in "predicting" ANYTHING, beyond the next 10 years, since they consider the possibilities, as to SECULARITY, to be TOO UNCERTAIN! Also, and this is an important difference here, is the fact that these Economic Futurists do NOT take into consideration ANY "unexpected" changes, in the progress of human activity WITHIN THE NEXT 10 YEARS! As far as they are concerned, the future is LINEAR (in progression), and surely economically "rosey"!

So much for Economic Futurists. The second "class" of futurist is the SCIENTIFIC FUTURIST! The Scientific Futurist looks NOT ONLY into the "crystal-ball" of the next 10 years, but also BEYOND! Because, the Scientific Futurist is NOT "basing" his/her "predictions" on economics (and the "linear" trends thereof), but, instead, ON SCIENTIFIC REALITY! (At least, of SECULAR scientific reality, which is about as close to actual "reality" that one can get WITHOUT actually accessing those dimensions of consciousness beyond secularity that require the activation of the mature human Mind!)

Actually, speaking of the mature human mind, we know that ALL "knowledge" - of ANY and EVERYTHING - IS ACCESSIBLE TO, and BY, ANY HUMAN BEING, BY merely "reaching" deep within one's consciousness - WHETHER one has activated their mature human Mind OR NOT! (As I have quoted from Socrates, in QUFD!) Therefore, whether or not any Scientific Futurist has actually "activated" their mature human Mind or not, such a person IS YET ABLE to "see", or understand, the actual "realities" OF THE FUTURE, that do exist, WITHIN consciousness, to the extent that such a person is able to "breach" that Veil of Separation/Unknowing (Lucifer's Veil of Negativity, as defined/detailed by Carl Jung, the great Swiss psychologist, who called it the Veil of Separation or Veil of Unknowing, in that the self - the lower Mind - was 'separated' from the Self or Soul - the upper Mind - such that the self does not KNOW the Soul of oneself, and thusly one exists in a state of UNKNOWING, of one's Soul and one's spiritual Self as well as of Who and What that person actually is, as a human being and as an individual who has been born into this Life with a unique purpose and destiny), and "see" those "realities" of the future that DO EXIST WITHIN THEMSELVES, as extant within the precepts and principles of both scientific AND Cosmic law.

And that is another key concept right there......AS EXTANT, as existing, within Quantum Physics AND Cosmic laws and principle! In other words, Scientific Futurists USE SCIENCE - and scientific principle - to SECULARLY "look into the future"! And such is the case with Freeman Dyson, for he is a Scientific Futurist, so his "predictions" have more of a chance of BEING TRUE, than of anyone else's "predictions"!

Anyway, getting back to what he has said - THAT is what is important, and of what I wish to note further here. Because - REMEMBER? - this is about as close to actual REALITY, in secularity, that one can get, WITHOUT the assurance OF the mature human Mind! (The mature human Mind, as I have explained elsewhere on these webpages, can ACCESS, and NOTE WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY, any and everything within the Collective Consciousness of Humanity, OF ANY TIME OR PLACE, Past/Present or FUTURE, going back over 70 BILLION YEARS, of "recorded" HUMAN HISTORY, and FORWARD, into the Future, as to ALL THOSE EVENTS, which WILL BE "CREATED", in the PRESENT "reality", of individual and collective human experience and existence! For further discussion on this, read elsewhere on this website, in numerous pages covering this topic.)

"Okay, WHAT has Dyson "predicted", that is so important to the realities of the human race?"

Well, actually, three things! And these three "predictions" are all based on the scientific (AND societal!) reality, that the human race - humanity - WILL HAVE TO DECIDE TO COOPERATE WITH EACH OTHER, rather than COMPETE......IF humanity is to SURVIVE the next 10 years! (And such a "reality" IS a SCIENTIFIC reality, NOT a "psychic", or any other kind of nebulous conjecture. As such, it CAN BE SEEN as a Future reality, in the Collective Consciousness of Humanity, AS A RESULT OF Present "creation" BY HUMANITY, as such might be "seen" BY anyone of mature human Mind who CAN access the Collective directly within their Mind!)

So, here are Dyson's three "predictions", for the year 2010 A.D., BASED UPON human cooperation, human will, human purpose and human destiny, AS SUCH MAY BE ENACTED BY HUMANITY over the next 10 years! (Anything else, other than Dyson's "predictions", is just to terrible to contemplate!) So, are you prepared for:

1. A WORLD DEMOCRACY?
2. A WORLD ECONOMY?
3. NO NATIONS, NO GOVERNMENTS, and NO CORPORATIONS?

Let me explain. A WORLD DEMOCRACY means a SINGLE WORLD ORDER, a single political (OR communitarian!) entity, of PARTICIPATORY DEMOCRACY, in which EVERY CITIZEN takes FULL PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, for one's words, actions and deeds, and VOTES accordingly on ALL public issues of concern to humanity and human society. NO "representatives", NO third-party-agents-of-responsibility, and thusly NO wars, NO divisiveness, and NO animosities!

Also, a WORLD ECONOMY means NO money, NO financial/monetary economics, with everything being FREELY AVAILABLE to one and all, in accord with the Golden Rule: "Do Unto Others, as You Would Have Others Do Unto Yourself!" (See elsewhere on this website for further discussion of non-monetary economics.) In other words, 100% EFFICIENCY, of a FREE world economy!

And a world of NO NATIONS, NO GOVERNMENTS, and NO CORPORATIONS (especially those nefarious multinationals)! ONE world order, of ALL individuals of humanity, cooperating peacefully with each other, and providing FOR each other - one and all - to the maximum extent possible, of each and every individual! FREEDOM and OPPORTUNITY, for all! And Peace, Joy and Happiness!

SO, are you prepared for such tremendous, BUT NECESSARY, changes in human society and existence, as shall occur before the year 2010 A.D.? CAN YOU encompass such realities? Well, Freeman Dyson HAS! (And remember, the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the Soviet Union, and other "unexpected" changes, DO OCCUR WHEN humanity CAN DECIDE to "make it so"!) And IF it is NOT to "be", WHAT is the alternative? Most clearly, it is the extinction of the human race, IF the current "linear projection" (of the Economic Futurists) should prevail (such "extinction" not necessarily by 2010 A.D., but certainly in the near Future)!

As many wise sages of old and of yore have said, "It's all UP TO US!" Again, as Jean-Luc Picard would have said, "Make it So!"
