pedagogical judgement: the result of a social genesis and functioning of practical taxonomies, inseparably social and academic, whereby professors fabricate an image of their students (both ideal and non-ideal), of their (the students) school performance and of their academic value (both of the students and of themselves, the professors), and act to (re)produce, via forms of cooptation (graft, etc.) based on these categories, the faculty as an institution.
