DONA ANITA J. HERNANDEZ CONFERRED CENTENNIAL AWARD
Bikol Reporter. Dona Anita Jaucian Hernandez was awarded by Governor Luis R. Villafuerte of Camarines Sur, a Centennial Plaque and Centennial Commemorative Medal on July 14.
The widow of the late Dr. Jaime Hernandez, Sr., former secretary of finance and first Filipino Auditor General, she turned 100 years old last Sunday, July 26.
Conferment of her honors as a centenarian was witnessed by her children, Dr. Dolores H. Sison, President of the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC); UNC executives Erlinda H. Ravanera, Jaime Hernandez, Jr., Jesus Hernandez and Celedonio Monterola; also in-laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The awardee still occupies the position of chairperson of the UNC Board of Trustees, the same educational institution her late husband founded in this city.
Meanwhile, the UNC’s Founder’s Day celebration last July 11 was highlighted with a tree-planting activity around the grounds of the Metro Naga Sport Complex at Barangay Pacol.
