aint you proud of your shiny skin? crazy little spots where the hair has been --
the curly stuff around the weenie place. worst thang is i see your face.
you think you're neat but i can smell from here,
misters clean and bubble can't wash away fear.
me don't worry, i be scratch and sniff.
just come on over and take a
whiffffffffffff
fff!
aint you proud of the world you made? you think it's the world that your big god gave.
aint you proud of your city of bricks? you was better off when you lived in the sticks.
i remember you when you swang in the trees, and all in a row picking at fleas!
i remember you when you stood erect, and told us we were incorrect.
i remember you when you stood up tall, and declared yourself the king of all.
i remember you when you stood with pride, and sang your praises
far
and
wide.
but there's one thing you better hide, it's the monkey deep inside.
better cover up his eyes, don't let him tell no lies.
don't let him hear tall tales about snakes and sheeps and whales.
cause what the monkey see, that's what he want to be.
but what the monkey do, that one up to you!
what will you buy with your
monkey money?
will you buy a big spoonful of monkey honey?
ook ook ook feel good in your tummy! so swing right over here!
and the little ones hang on the monkey bars,
and the big ones drive in their
monkey cars
,
and the smart ones throw a bone at the stars!

there's one thing you better hide, it's the monkey deep inside.
