Linda, Queen Bee
This classic photograph shows Linda in front of the beehive-shaped mud (None dare call it "dung"!) homes of Harran. Harran, as we all know, may be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, it is estimated to be least 6000 years old.
Harran was once the home of the Prophet Abraham (P.B.U.H) and his family, and the site of the world's first Islamic University (the tower in the background). It was sacked by Tamerlane a while back, but still retains it's haunting grandeur. Laurence of Arabia spent some time here excavating the area, as did the famous Charles of Turkiye.
