The Unpredictable Volcanoes
Volcanoes are very unpredictable. Many volcanoes are born underwater, on the seafloor. Volcanoes are natural events that happen all over the globe, though some are more frequent in some places. Most of them are found in along the sides of oceans were the Circle of Fire is located. Most of the people might think that a volcano is coned shaped, and they are right, but any hole through which lava reaches the earth`s surface is a volcano. There are more than 1,500 active volcanoes in the world. During a violent eruption, the lava is highly charged with steam and other gases, such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide, causing violent explosions and rise in an ash cloud. After a long period, the vocano might cease to erupt, but it usualy continues to emit acid gases and vapor. After this phase, hot springs may arise from the volcano. The danger of active volcanoes are constant.Volcanoes do not only emit molten rock, showers of ash and cinders, disastrous mudflows are a constant threat. For example, Colombia's Nevado del Ruiz melted the ice and snow on the mountain and claimed the death of 25,000 people. The volcanic gases are very deadly poison. The gases could wipe out an entire village in just a few secounds
