In early August, 2010, we went on a three day road trip through Northern California and Southern Oregon. In California, we saw several historic towns, hiked in Fern Canyon in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park and saw the Elk herd there. We also saw the Carson Mansion in Eureka and the Battery Point Lighthouse in Crescent City. In Ashland, Oregon, we saw the replica of the Globe Theatre where Shakespeare Festival plays are performed (hope to see a play there someday). The highlight of the trip was a jet boat ride on the Rogue River from Grants Pass, Oregon racing through Hells Gate Canyon. Here's a four minute video of that ride: Jet Boat Video
