In mid May, 2010, we took a 1,931 mile road trip around Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Iowa. We saw several Frank Lloyd Wright buildings and houses including his own house (Taliesin) and the only operating gas station designed by him. The scenic drive along the north shore of Lake Superior included lighthouses and waterfalls. We also toured three state Capitol buildings, saw the covered bridges of Madison County, many more sights and stayed at a great Bed and Breakfast in Duluth, Minnesota. We included North Dakota just so Kathy could see her 50th state. We took over 500 photos and here's a link to a slideshow of 50 of them. The slideshow can be paused: Photos.
