Since its inception, the 3.4 DOHC has been the "Black Sheep" of GMs V-6 lineup, even carring an engine VIN of X. Even with this, 3.4 DOHC powered the future of GM sports sedans, making its debut in 1991 on the Chevy Lumina Z34, Pontiac Grand Prix GTP(2dr) & GT(4dr), and the Oldsmobile Cutlass(2&4dr models). The power ratings of the 3.4 have varied throught its life:

**91-93 3.4 DOHC (5sp) 210Hp 215lbs torque
**94-95 3.4 DOHC (auto) 210HP 215lbs torque
