EXPERIENCE                                                                                                                                                              

      Manufacturing Engineer – March ’04 to present

      H R Textron

      Technical and logistical support of the manufacturing production line for the assembly and test of the Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) program. Liaison between production and quality to resolve component and assembly level discrepancies. Interface between engineering and manufacturing to improve the manufacturability and quality of the product.

 

Operations System Engineer/Antenna Mechanical Engineer - February ‘98 to March ‘04

      Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc.

      Primary responsibility was to support the maintenance and upgrade tasks on the structures and mechanical drives of Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s

      Deep Space Network antennas. Also act as a liaison between JPL engineers and Deep Space Complex maintenance technicians. Develop a Reliability   Centered Maintenance plan for specific equipment on the antennas, which included the hydraulic servo drive mechanisms, hydrostatic bearing equipment, electro-  mechanical drives and antenna structures.

      

      Mechanical Engineer  - August ’96 to January ‘98

      Rotating Precision Mechanisms, Inc.

      

      Design and supervise the fabrication and installation of precision 2, 3-axis positioners for use in the telemetry and tracking antenna industry. Design involves

      concept, mechanical design of all components starting from gearbox, to site installation of entire pedestal assembly. Also, supervise the assembly process from

      purchasing components to scheduling fabrication and assembly steps.

      

      Mechanical Engineer Consultant – Self Employed - May ’95 to July ‘96

      Orion Aviation, DECS and Malibu Research, and Vista Controls Corp.

      

      Short term engineering services ranging from product development, testing, installation, to FE Analysis of electronic assemblies.

         ·         Developed and supervised the manufacturing of high speed rotator assembly to be used on advanced commercial ferry in Europe.

         ·         Concept, design, analysis, fabrication and installation and testing of helicopter mounted dipping sonar, as well as other associated electronic equipment.

         ·         Designed and installed an RF conical scanning feed on FLAPS telemetry antenna.

                                                                                                             

      Mechanical Engineer - September ’93 to April ‘95

      Vista Controls Corp.

      Support the development of new products from concept to production ranging from military ammunition loading mechanism to ruggedized electronic enclosures.

      Knowledgeable in the use of FEA for modeling of mechanical assemblies, circuit cards, enclosure components for stress and thermal analysis. Familiar with a

      variety of motion control and actuation mechanisms, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic.

 

      Mechanical Engineer - May ’88 to August ‘93

      Electro-Magnetic Processes, Inc.

      Responsible for supporting the Mechanical Engineering Department using Computer Aided Design technology in the areas of detail design of components and

      assemblies. Designed and installed detailed mechanical components for use on telemetry antenna systems.

           

      Power plant and Propeller Maintenance Technician – April ’86 to September ‘87

      West Winds Aviation

      Responsible for inspection and repair of private aircraft power plant, propeller and aluminum and composite airframe. Performed major and top overhaul of    small piston aircraft engines.

 

SKILLS

      Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, ALGOR FEA, MSC Nastran for Windows v3.0 (2D), Working Model, office software including PowerPoint, Mircosoft         Project, Excel.

      Use of infrared imaging camera, AGEMA 570. Use of machining tools such as mill, lathe, welder, and most measuring instrumentation. Hobbies range from

      working with radio controlled model airplanes to working on cars and design and analysis of various mechanical components. 

 

SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS

      California State University, Northridge

      Responsible for the design, modeling and testing of vehicle chassis aerodynamics, and the fabrication of various components of suspension, steering, and solar

      panel used on a solar powered vehicle with composite plastic monocoque chassis. Worked with carbon fiber/honeycomb structural components.
