If you need mechanical design and analysis services on
a part time or full time employment basis, please don’t hesitate to contact
me. On a part time basis, I generally work out of my home office, where I have
all the reference material and computer resources I need. Also, if you need Thermography
(a.k.a. thermal imaging) services, I can perform those as well, contact me
for rates. Examples include thermal load verification of circuit boards
and/or chassis, water intrusion on roof tops, high power transmission
equipment or even medical applications, just to name a few. |

Operations System
Engineer/Antenna Mechanical Engineer - February ‘98 to March ‘04
Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc.
Primary responsibility was to support the maintenance and upgrade tasks on the structures and mechanical drives of Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s
Deep Space Network antennas. Also act as a liaison between JPL engineers and Deep Space Complex maintenance technicians. Develop a Reliability Centered Maintenance plan for specific equipment on the antennas, which included the hydraulic servo drive mechanisms, hydrostatic bearing equipment, electro- mechanical drives and antenna structures.
Mechanical
Engineer - August ’96 to January ‘98
Rotating Precision Mechanisms, Inc.
Design and supervise the fabrication and installation of precision 2, 3-axis positioners for use in the telemetry and tracking antenna industry. Design involves
concept, mechanical design of all components starting from gearbox, to site installation of entire pedestal assembly. Also, supervise the assembly process from
purchasing components to scheduling fabrication and assembly steps.
Mechanical Engineer Consultant – Self
Employed - May ’95 to July ‘96
Orion Aviation, DECS and Malibu Research, and Vista Controls Corp.
Short term engineering services ranging from product development, testing, installation, to FE Analysis of electronic assemblies.
· Developed and supervised the manufacturing of high speed rotator assembly to be used on advanced commercial ferry in Europe.
· Concept, design, analysis, fabrication and installation and testing of helicopter mounted dipping sonar, as well as other associated electronic equipment.
· Designed and installed an RF conical scanning feed on FLAPS telemetry antenna.
Mechanical
Engineer - September ’93 to April ‘95
Support the development of new products from concept to production ranging from military ammunition loading mechanism to ruggedized electronic enclosures.
Knowledgeable in the use of FEA for modeling of mechanical assemblies, circuit cards, enclosure components for stress and thermal analysis. Familiar with a
variety of motion control and actuation mechanisms, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic.
Mechanical
Engineer - May ’88 to August ‘93
Electro-Magnetic Processes, Inc.
Responsible for supporting the Mechanical Engineering Department using Computer Aided Design technology in the areas of detail design of components and
assemblies. Designed and installed detailed mechanical components for use on telemetry antenna systems.
Power plant and Propeller Maintenance
Technician – April ’86 to September ‘87
West Winds Aviation
Responsible for inspection and repair of private aircraft power plant, propeller and aluminum and composite airframe. Performed major and top overhaul of small piston aircraft engines.
