My rebuilt engine before installation.
Note the powder coated covers and pulleys. All new hardware, stainless bolts for headers, and exhaust. The long block was rebuilt by a local MBZ specialist and was ready to install after all the accessories were installed. The engine has ran for less then 20kmiles, then put her in the garage, quit using it. It'll fire up like new, and runs excellent. It's the body and interior that are in need of work.
Front shot of engine...
All hardware was cadmium plated... New injectors, warm up regulator, hoses, etc. Obviously, since it has been installed in the vehicle, it shows some road grime, and a little wear. I have bunches of ods and ends, including a brake/clutch pedal assembly, that fits this model if one is to do a manual conversion.
I have a N(ew) O(ld) S(tock) black dashboard...
...that I've been saving as the last step in the restoration.
I bought it from a Mercedes repair shop as it had to sell off it's stock.
I suspect they are about $600-800 new.
However, it may not happen at all as I'm running out of time and patience.
I'm considering on selling the entire car with all sorts of odds and ends,
including this dash.
