Chapter Twenty-One: Awakenings
Sennymay stirred groggily and groaned as her open eyes did not register any signs of light. Her whole body ached and her head swam like it would during a bad hangover. She rolled over to er side and found herself next to something warm and somewhat soft. It uttered a groan identical to hers and tried to roll away from her. The rogue's first instinct was to strangle whatever it was, but she found it difficult to do wit hands that fgelt like spaghetti and thus ended up only futilely beating her fingers against the odd flesh.
The flesh retaliated. Apperantly it wasn't as drained as Senny was, and overcame her quickly, bearing down all its weight upon her. With pure muscle memory, Senny kicked her way from the giant mass of dark fles and scrambled to her hands and knees. As she tried to stand up, the soft surface below her gave way and she tumbled backwards onto a hard, wooden plane.
"I may be blind at the moment, but I've still got my magic!" a familiar voice exclaimed from the fleshy blob's direction. Suddenly everything felt a lot hotter to Senny.
"Kifka, is tat you?" she tried to ask, it only came out to be a "Kifflouk?" kind of sound. Her tongue felt limp and useless.
"I do not speak your language, foul demoness! Prepare to fry!" the blob screamed.
"Aaargh!" Senny yelped and ran forward as fast as she could, hoping she could escape from the lunatic. Her face met a wall with a hearty smack and she fell down to the floor, motionless.
Kifka was rudely awakened by a pair of what seemed to be hands beating clumsily against his face. Everything was pitch-black and an eerie hum echoed through his head. Kifka rolled over and pu all his weight at what appeared to be a woman. His face met a swift kick and he almost slid off the soft surface. He tried to grab the woman again, but found noting as a loud thud echoed to his right.
"I may be blind at the moment, but I've still got my magic!" he exclaimed and conjured a fireball, aimging at the sound to the best of his ability. The woman made an odd noise in return. "I do not speak your language, foul demoness! Prepare to fry!" he screamed and prepared to cast another fireball.
The demoness yelped and promptly shut up as an odd smack sound, followed by the obvious sound of a body falling to the ground, echoed through the room. Kifka felt weak from all the excitement, and his head soon hit the soft surface in a deep sleep.
To Artemis it was nothing new. She was used to the dark and lay patiently in her bed, not knowing the difference between the morning after a grueling sabbath, and a regular morning.
To Darad, on the other hand, it was very disturbing. As soon as he opened his eyes and realized that his eyesight had eluded him, he screamed as loud as he could.
"Peace, Darad," Artemis uttered. Her cheeks flushed as she realized he was lying next to her in the bed.
"Artemis! I can't see!" Darad screamed.
"Neither can I," she answered. Darad didn't reply.
"I I'm sorry," he said after a long pause.
"Tis alright," she answered.
Darad moved his hands along the sheets, until his fingers found Artemis's lustrous hair. He ran his hands through it, then scooted closer to her and put his arms around her. Artemis leaned her head agains his shoulder and they soon fell asleep.
Athena stared wildly about her. She couldn't move her body, but her eyesight was working. Everything about the room appreared smaller, and her body felt different. She also felt odd urges and emotions flooding through her. She stared at the silk canopy over the bed and waited. What she waited for, she did not know.
After a few minutes, she felt something stir next to her. She treid to move, but her body still wouldn't budge. As that something sat up next to her, she could smellt he intoxicating aroma of its sweat. The figure froze as it realized it wasn't alone. It turned towards her and leaned over her. Athena finally saw who it was.
The figure was of a well-built mand of about 19, with hair as dark as the midnight sky, and eyes as piercing as those of a dragon. He was incredibly handsome, and Athena felt herself tense up with anticipation.
"Athena," he said in a low, sexy voice. She trembled under his seductive gaze. "Don't be afraid. It's me, Belgorath."
Athena stared at him for a long time until she could see the eyes, the fangs, the scaled tattoo on his chest - all similar to those of Belgorath. She suddenly felt very timid. This man had the power of a dragon, and her whole body yearned to be inside his.
"What's wrong?" he asked. "You're shivering." He leaned over her as if to warm her body with his. They were both suddenly aware of the nude state of their bodies.
And Athena remembered what she was now. The knowledge flooded to her from the Hyad Moon in one intense rush. She suddenly knew things only dragons and unicorns did. She knew about love, about lust, about how the world went.
She stared at Belgorath, wide-eyed. His eyes were just as wide as hers and he appread to be lost in a sea of emotions. His eyes were still captivating, and his body was tooc lsoe to hers to resist. Athena put her slender arms around him and pulled him on top of her. Belgorath leaned down and kissed her passionately and deeply. Their newly-gained bodies took it from there and Belgorath and Athena found themselves pressed against each other in a sweet embrace. Belgorath wanted to kiss every inch of Athena's beautiful body, and Athena wanted to be filled with all the knowledge of a dragon for the first time in her life. As Belgorath kissed er neck, her collarbone, her breasts, the need for something to fill her, to be inside of her became more and more intense, and her body writhed and twisted with unsurmountable pleasure and anticipation. Belgorath saw that. He pushed her down on the bed and, without saying a word, made love to her. They did so until they were both completely exhausted, and fell asleep in each other's arms, the power of the dragon still inside Athena.
