Mike Dirnt

Mike Dirnt is the bassist from Green Day. He was born on May 4,1972. Shortly after his birth, his mother (who was a heroin addict), gave him up for adoption. At age 7, Mike's adoptive parents divorced. So, he was shifted back and forth between his father and biological mother. A few years later, his mother quickly remarried, which Mike was not happy about.
Years later, his mother moved out, and he and his stepfather remained together. During this time, they became friends.
Finally, Mike left home for good at the age of 15, living with Billie Joe, and his family. Not long after, he moved on to a squat in a building full of punk-rockers. He had finished high school, while living on his own. He worked as a cook to make enough money to get by. Mike convinced his mom to sign the forms necessary to keep the school authorties from asking any questions.
