HISTORY
The former Batgirl, and adoptive daughter of Comissioner Jim Gordon, Barbara Gordon serves as
the Bat-family's eyes, ears, and all around information guru.
She held the unique position of being the only member of the Bat-family to have invited her self to
join. This rubbed Batman the wrong way for quite some time, but eventually earned his trust.
Unfortunately, her crime fighting carrer was cut short by a the Joker and a single bullet through the
spine.
Paralized from the waist down, she turned this disadvantage into a tremendous advantage. She
applied her information gathering skills, with a bit of funding from Batman, and became Oracle:
braintrust for the Bat-family as well as the rest of the superhero community. She and Dick have been
consistant flirts and friends since their early years, but their friendship has never progressed beyond
that point.
Barbara also remains good friends with Supergirl (now Superwoman) from their days of adventuring together on occasion in times past. She continues in her duties as Oracle even though, unknown to all but a highly select few, events taking place during the hypertime merge caused by Impulse have completely healed the damage that once crippled her body.
