History
Jack's parents divorced in 2002, when his mother was pregnant with Jesse and her brother John. Long time friend and comrade John Law then began doing everything he could to give Libby a hand raising the kids, and the two eventually grew closer and closer from the bond and grew into lovers. They remained together for two years. Then, in early 2005, John, whose career as a writer was failing, began to drink heavily. An argument between the two parents ensued and before anyone even realized it was happening, he'd struck Libby. She moved out the next day. She and Johnny had kept in touch those years, because of the children, and had already become good friends again, and had then reunited rather quickly. Months later Jack was born. Because of the nearness of his birth to the separation of Libby and John Law, everyone wondered if Jack was the son of Law or Chambers. Until His own powers manifested at an early age, proving himself a Chambers.
Jack was a founding member of the Miscreants as assembled first by Peter Drake. His closest friend is Hal Queen. The thrill of being a petty criminal appealed to his sense of being lost in the crowd with such a large family. Over time however, he began enjoying more and more the sense of pride and self-worth heroism brought him and he began to frequently push himself and sacrifice himself for the sake of others. This adoption of self-sacrifice for the protection of others led to him prematurely aging while pushing his speed past their limits during the school evacuation on The Blackest Night, and caused him to lose his legs in the battle against Superboy Prime. As one of the six who were abducted for special conditioning by the fake Checkmate, Jack's legs were regrown.
Since the loss of his parents and all of his siblings save Jesse at the hands of Savitar, Jack has been battling depression and growing more and more reckless. His new relationship with Kate Kyle and Cameron Arliss help to keep this in check, but often times he feels like a bomb just waiting to go off on someone or simply self-destruct.
Powers and Abilities
Like his father before him, Jack uses the spoken formula, 3X2(9YZ)4A, to gain the power of superspeed. He also inherited his mother's super strength, and bears all the fringe benefits an education at the Theodore Knight Academy entails. Jack's speed tricks thus far have presented as the ability to traverse time and dimensions via alteration of vibrational frequency.
The fake Checkmate's attempt to make him into a new Executioner have given him a significant healing factor. Whether there have been any other effects has yet to be seen.

While deep down he is kind, loyal, loving and a champion to all, Jack has for years been the loud, misogynist jock and often still reverts to type.
