History
When Kali was a year old her mother left her in the care of the Grayson family while she ran off into space in pursuit of Lobo, who had kidnapped Kali's brother Ry. She didn't see her birth-mother again for more than ten years.
While the Graysons, and all their extended family, were always kind and loving towards her, and treated them as her own, Kali grew knowing resentment towards her mother for what she saw as abandoning her. To this day she considers the parents who raised her the bulk of her life: Richard and Jesse Grayson to be her mother and father as far as emotional ties go, and their children are more sibling to her than the siblings her mother returned from space with.
Kali was only an average student at the Academy. While she endeavored to do her best, her rage issues would sometimes get the best of her. Though her love for and from her foster family is often what gets her through the hard times, Kali is also medicated to handle with the issues of abandonment she still struggles with to this day.
Powers and Abilities
Kali has spent time studying acrobatics, fighting, computer and detective skills, medicine, weapons training, etc. under the careful tutelage of her foster family. In addition, she bears the genetic ability to fly and to fire off blasts of energy drawn from the stars, just like that of her mother. Also like her mother, she can survive in space without need for a space suit or sustenance and can learn any language known by a being just by making physical contact with them. She has also gained all skills/knowledge etc. that comes with being a student at the Theodore Knight Academy.
