Located just outside of the beautiful Opal City, along the northern coast of Puget Sound, the Theadore Knight Academy was established in 2006 by the Belmont Foundation in honor of the late hero and scientist, Theodore Knight.
The school is quite openly a haven for meta-human children who need to learn and develope their abilities in a positive, safe environment, and remains wholly privately funded. Additionally, she does accept students from the general populace, as any more mundane private school would. Both groups of students interact and mingle freely. In the interest of a normal, stable environment for all and in the development of open minds, both brands of students are educated in the same classes together as well.
For the sake of those students who wish to keep their meta-human identities secret, however, all P.E. classes are segregated, so that norms would be unable to know which of their fellows are which superheroes in their extra-curricular lives.
