The editor scouted Tyson, and through that connection he was able to get in touch with a New York agency and within months he was in front of the cameras.
By 1995 Tyson was on the cover of many major magazines. He also starred in Toni Braxton's video "Unbreak My Heat" as Braxton's late boyfriend whom she breaks down in reminiscence of their relationship before his motorcycle accident.
The year 2000 allowed for Tyson to star in his first feature film- "Punks".
