Isian Worship

This is a page for those of us who chose to focus our worship primarily on Queen Isis. The information found here is specific to her. Herein lie rituals and prayers that have been deidcated to her for centuries by her first priests and priestesses in Ancient Egypt. As all worship comes from the heart, the words or entire phrases can be altered to suit your needs. The following passages come from the book Isis and Her worship by DeTracy Regula, priestess of Isis.

Prayer of Awakening

The following prayer is presented in both english and the language of the ancient Egyptians. This prayer is meant to be recited in front of an image of Isis (whether from a book, or if you're lucky enough, a statue of Her) at the beginning of each day. You can even place your breakfast on the shrine and do this prayer to have it blessed.

Awake, awake, awake
Awake in peace
Lady of Peace
Rise thou in peace
Rise thou in Beauty
Goddess of Life
Beautiful in Heaven
Heaven is in Peace
Earth is in peace
O Goddess
Daughter of Nut
Daughter of Geb
Beloved of Osiris
Goddess rich in names
All praise to you
All praise to you
I adore you
I adore you
Lady Isis.

Whenever I do the Ritual of Awakening, I do it on my Shrine to Isis (which is neatly tucked away in a corner of my living room). A suggestion for setting up a Shrine of your own would be to have a statue or image of the God/Goddess of your choice on the Shrine. Have a candle set aside to be lit only during ritual and a few other separate candles for illumination. Have a small censor for incense, or something to burn incense in. This is really an opportunity to be creative; put whatever you think looks nice on it, or things that connect you with your deity or even things that mean something to you.
