.....Buffy moved in and sliced her sword through the closest Stormtrooper's neck as she burst into the Bronze through the front doors. The Stormtrooper disappeared into a puff of dust as the others moved in and started firing their newly acquired blasters at the other Stormtroopers keeping them off balance and at the same time offering Buffy some cover. Unfortunately, the Stormtroopers were able to recover from being hit as their vampire sides allowed them to continue. However, luckily as each shot hit one of the Stormtroopers, the soldier would fall thinking at first that he was dead and buying Buffy time as the stunned Stormtrooper came to grips with his recovery.

.....It was agreed that Wesley would be the one to get to their captured friends and lead them back to the door for their retreat. Besides, Giles hadn't wanted Wesley to have a blaster, as he didn't think Wesley's aim would be up to par. Wesley tried to move towards Cordelia under cover of the laser battle and Buffy's more direct assault as he was hoping to liberate her and Oz under cover of the other's firepower. Wesley was almost amazed at how easy it was going as he found he was having no trouble at all reaching Cordelia who was cowering in fear just behind Spike.

.....Spike kept careful track of Wesley's advance, as he had to time it just right if he were going to use Xander's friend as leverage towards his fall to the dark side of the Force. Just a little closer and he would be able to act on his plan and he was almost amazed that Wesley seemed to be completely unaware that he was being allowed to reach Cordelia and Oz. First, he had to push Xander back far enough to give him enough time to kill Wesley. With a wide swing of his lightsaber Spike added a push to the swing to knock Xander back a few feet from the force of the blow.

....."Now Xander, you will see the first of your pathetic friends die," Spike said as he turned on one heel and then with a swift swing of his lightsaber sliced a surprised Wesley in half. Wesley died instantly as his head and upper torso separated from his abdomen and lower extremities. "I am not sensing anger in you," said a surprised Spike as he turned back just in time to block Xander's swing.

....."I never really cared for Wesley," replied Xander not realizing that his lack of compassion for Wesley began his journey to the dark side. "I should be sad, but you know I am almost happy that the limey is dead." Xander stared at Spike for a minute as he felt a wave of anger filling him and he had to admit that the anger felt very good, in fact it was almost addictive.

.....Buffy kept pressing as best as she could with the laser fire that seemed to be erupting from almost everywhere. A couple of times she had even felt something hot pass very close to her head and she didn't have to be told that it was a laser pulse. She simply ignored it and moved on to the next Stormtrooper who she would decapitate. They seemed to be making some headway but she knew that with all the Stormtroopers running around Sunnydale, they didn't have a chance. They simply had to free their friends and retreat back to the library.

.....Giles found cover behind the pool table where he picked his targets carefully trying to take out the Stormtroopers who had the best chance of hitting Buffy. Angel and Willow moved about and with their heightened vampire senses were able to get off more shots and maintain chaos which would be Buffy's best protection. However, they had not seen Wesley's death coming and when Spike had sliced him in two, there was nothing none of them could do to prevent it. If they didn't wrap this up soon, Giles feared that there would be more blood spilled.

.....Cordelia screamed out in utter rage as she saw what was left of Wesley lying on the floor of the Bronze. She pulled herself out of her helpless state and charged Spike in pure primal anger. Spike who was readying himself for Xander's next attack didn't have the time to deal with Cordelia in the manner in which he would have like to have. Thus he merely lashed out with the Force and sent her sprawling out into the middle of the floor. As she started to pick herself up, she became a target and a bright red pulse of blaster fire hit her squarely in the chest sending her sprawling once again. She was dead before she hit the floor for a second time and Xander simply looked at her lifeless body and then returned his gaze to Spike. There was fire burning behind Xander's stare as his anger completely consumed him.

....."You killed her, now you will die," yelled Xander! He swung his lightsaber in rage and Spike was only just able to get his up in time and as such was pushed backwards from the force of the blow. Xander screamed in pure anger and went ballistic with his lightsaber swinging at Spike with a fury that captured the room's attention. Everyone stopped fighting and simply watched Xander as he kept swinging in rapid succession almost as if he were hacking a machete to clear a very densely weed covered trail. Spike kept moving backwards as he was simply no match for the fury that Xander was directing at him.

.....Spike tried to talk, but he couldn't get anything out as it was taking everything he had to defend himself and he was afraid that it wasn't enough. He had no doubt that he had turned Xander to the dark side. However, he had planned that they would form a team, he was not supposed to die, the Emperor had promised him that. Spike now knew that the Emperor had lied to him and that he was being put out to pasture having served his usefulness. Spike knew that any further resistance was futile and as such he lowered his lightsaber and in seconds he felt Xander's blade decapitate him.

....."Xander won, I can't believe it but he won," said Buffy as she moved towards her friend.

....."Of course I won and now these Stormtroopers serve me. I would recommend that you drop your weapons and surrender or I will kill each and every one of you," replied Xander with a scowl.

....."Xander, what has happened to you?"

....."Buffy, Buffy, Buffy, I am more powerful than you can even imagine now. The dark side it is so incredibly powerful, if you fully understood you would not question me."

....."Xander, I know what it is like to lose one's soul. Turning to the dark side must be similar to that, let us help you like you helped me earlier tonight," said Willow as she tried to glimpse the old Xander somewhere in the new Xander's eyes. However, she did notice a hooded apparition appear behind Xander and she knew that it could only be the Emperor.

....."Well look at the crowd we had turn out for your coming out party. Golly gee, it is almost sad that you will have to kill them, all of them," said the hologram of Emperor Wilkens.

....."Master, I am here to do your bidding, they will die as you command. Though can I feel a few of the girls up first?" Xander even though he was evil couldn't lose the joking side of his personality.

....."The Immorality of it all," said Wilkens as his hologram disappeared.

....."Giles, can you escape with the others if I create a diversion," whispered Angel?

....."I can try, what are you going to do?"

....."Don't worry about me, I will merely buy you some time to get back to the library and find a way to reverse Xander's wish."

....."So Xander, do you think you are something special now that you are the big Jedi?" Angel moved forward to challenge Xander while he allowed his vampire traits to emerge in his face. "You are nothing compared to me."

....."So, you want to be the first to die do you Angel? That is fine by me as I never cared much for you even when I was a nobody."

.....Giles moved quickly to grab Buffy and lead her towards the door. Willow scooped up Oz and also moved towards the door while Xander ignited his lightsaber once again and advanced on Angel. The remaining Stormtroopers simply stood by and watched the confrontation.

....."Let's get out of here," said Giles as he started to open the door.

....."We can't leave Angel, Xander will kill him," replied Buffy. "Giles, we can't leave him."

....."Buffy, it was his choice, we have to go or we could all end up dead. Listen if we find a way to reverse Xander's wish, it may undo all of this or at least stop the massacre that this is turning into."

....."I won't go, I can't desert him," Buffy said with steady determination in her voice.

.....Angel noticed that Buffy and Giles were arguing and he knew that as long as he was alive that Buffy would not leave him. He knew then what he had to do, for Buffy. Angel open his arms up wide and Xander moved in decapitating him in a very quick stroke. Buffy screamed as Angel's body turned to dust and wanted to run after Xander, but Giles kept pulling on her and she gave in leaving the Bronze and heading out into the night.

....."Let them escape, let them return to their precious library as I will deal with them there," said Xander to the Stormtroopers who immediately radioed the others to relay the order. Xander looked at the dust on the floor where Angel had stood and he smiled savoring the moment.

.....Buffy tried to control the tears but she couldn't and they flowed freely as she sat alone in a chair while the others scoured over the books including the one Xander had used the Force to locate. She couldn't believe that Angel had died and she knew he died to save her, it was an act of love. She had lost Angel before, but this time there would be no coming back, she was alone forever.

....."Er, look at this, it seems that the genie who gave Xander his wish is known as Allaia and according to this she lets the person live the wish first in an alternate reality. They live their wish right up to the point of conclusion and then they are returned to their normal reality and given the option to keep their wish or change it."

....."Then this could be such a reality,' stated Oz.

....."Maybe, but what if he already had the option to wish again and this is the new reality," asked Willow?

....."We have no way of knowing and we have no way of knowing if he wishes as he is now or as he was before this all happened," added Giles.

....."So the dark Jedi Xander just may wish to snag this twisted reality," said Oz.

....."I have to kill him, either way this has to come to a conclusion and that will only happen if I kill him," said Buffy as she wiped away the last of her tears.

....."So it will be an inspired battle," said Xander as he strode in through the library doors. "Let's do it then and prove once and for all how pathetic your slayer abilities are compared to the dark side of the Force."

....."Okay Xander let's see if your anger is anything compared to how I feel right now. You killed Angel and I know you enjoyed it as you always hated him and now I hate you," said Buffy as she watched Xander ignite his lightsaber. This was going to be very tough, as she had to avoid the energy blade at all costs since it could end her life in a single swipe.

.....Xander moved forward and swung his lightsaber in an arc that Buffy was able to drop below narrowly missing the blade. She then reached out with her leg to kick Xander in the chest knocking him backwards some. He then lunged forward and Buffy was able to sidestep the blazing lightsaber and his attack at the same time. She spun and connected with the back of Xander's head with a sidekick. Xander stumbled forward and almost lost his balance but was able to recover it quickly and turned around to face Buffy again.

....."You are better than I expected," he muttered as he tried to thrust his lightsaber through Buffy's midsection. She moved just to the side and it passed harmlessly by her left side. She then reached out and knocked the lightsaber from Xander's hand sending it across the floor. Buffy then pressed her advantage and punched Xander in the face and then followed that up with a kick to his midsection that sent him sprawling. Xander howled in anger and he reached out with the Force to retrieve his lightsaber. Unfortunately for him, Buffy was expecting him to do such and she snatched it out of the air as it flew by and before he could react she ignited it and in a single arc sliced through Xander's midsection. As the top half of his body hit the floor, a look of surprise was still etched on his face. Buffy fell to her knees and started to cry while Willow came up behind her to comfort her.

.....Xander shuddered as he shifted back into his normal reality. He was confused as he noticed that the genie was still standing there just looking at him, like she had when he had been granted his wish. But where was Buffy, what had he done? He was fighting her and now he was back to where the evening had started.

....."You have been shown the probable outcome of your wish and now you must decide if you want that wish to become reality or if you would care to choose another," said Allaia. Xander just looked at her for a minute trying to grasp how things had gone so wrong with his wish. He had to wonder if he had handled the Force better if things could have turned out differently.

....."I guess that wish didn't turn out as I had planned it to. No, I will not become a Jedi, as I know what I really want now. I wish that Willow and I had never been attacked by vampires tonight."

....."That I think is a much better wish Xander. So shall it be granted," she said smiling as she hoped that Xander had learned something from the other reality. Once she granted his wish he would have no knowledge of his adventure as a Jedi, at least not on a conscious level. Perhaps he would take a lesson from his experience with him on a level that his very soul had access.

....."I know Will, I am just being Xander, you know that quirky guy that says all the wrong things," he replied trying to show off a look of innocence which was hard to do around Willow as he realized that she had been hurt from learning about him and Faith. He had been hurt just as much, though in a more physical way when Faith had tried to strangle him.

....."Xander, what do you think happened to the other me?" It was a question that Willow found her mind kept wandering to as if it was a unresolved issue for her.

....."I don't know, but whatever she is doing, I am sure I would find it exciting," he said back to her with a slight chuckle imbedded in his voice as he remembered the embrace once again.

.....Two vampires moved quietly looking for a new target for the night, as the Mayor had called off a planned attack that he had issued on someone named Willow Rosenberg. She had been getting too close to breaking into his computer files and he simply deleted the files, which solved that problem and hence made the hit unnecessary.
