"It all started around November of '98. Kris had a band for a while with this ridiculous poser Steve(no relation to our Poseur, who really isn't a poser.), and I spent a long time telling him to fire Steve, and hire me. Shortly after Kris heard me play, his band broke up. There wasn't really anything happening for a while until Kris came up to me and said "I want to start another band, and you need to be in it." Little did I know he didn't have a drummer or any one besides himself. So I said "I'll join, but Spencer has to be our bass player". So we all three got together and Started jamming on some songs that I had written over the summer, and some of Kris' songs too. We searched for a drummer, but they all wanted to play tennis instead of being in our band. So we hired my drum machine, the Zoom RythmTrak 234. It keeps good time and doesn't argue. APPENDIX, ONE YEAR LATER...THe SAGA CONTINUES
So we recorded a cheesy album with this guy Ron, but it didn't work as well as we would have liked it too. Then later in the summer Kris and Matt became disenchanted with the direction the band was going in (we wanted to start a band called Wimp Leiner and dress like Arabians) and eventually asked Spencer to leave because he had morals and a nicer turban then us. After Spencer left, we put together various projects ranging from middle-eastern folk music to 'hip hop'. Then Kris and Matt got jobs as dishwashers at a dead-end rock and roll fantasy job (we were dishwashers!!) but it all ended in December. After that, it was time to refocus, so we got Jaren to come and play drums for us, and Kris moved to vocals and bass. Then we sold out, you know? As for Matt, lets just say the men in the white coats are taking good care of him.
