We call her SAM
Sam is an Umbrella Cockatoo. We obtained her from a friend who bought her at a bird show. We knew little about birds at the time, but can only say one thing about purchasing birds. Do NOT purchase imported birds. Sam was a wild caught bird. One of the lucky ones that survived. Most perish. She will never be a tame bird like Doctor Livingston. However, she seems content with us. She is outside her cage until we go to bed and seems happy enough, but she is very distrustful of humans.
