"Brian Littrell, you come here right now!" Heather yelled from the bottom
of the stairs. "I have something to give you!"
"What is it?" Brian asked, surprisingly coming up from behind Heather, not
down the stairs.
"You ruined everything." Heather said, looking at Brian.
"What? What'd I do? I didn't mean to..." Brian said, looking Heather
square in the eye.
"You were supposed to come down the stairs...then when you got to the
bottom, I'd kiss you!" Heather said, looking at Brian as though he really
ruined something, like the day, or night, or something like that.
"I'm sorry." Brian said, looking down at Heather's shoes. "But, if it's
any help, your shoes are pretty."
"What? My shoes are...Brian." Heather said.
"Sorry! I just wanted to get you into the spirit! It's almost Christmas,
and there's nothing...wait just a minute. I'm going upstairs for a
minute...call me down." Brian said.
"What?" Heather asked.
"Just...just do it." Brian said, running up the stairs two steps at a time.
"Brian Littrell, you get back down here and explain what you are doing!"
Heather shrieked.
Brian ran down the steps, and swept Heather into a kiss.
"That better?" Brian asked.
"Much..." Heather said, hardly being able to catch her breath.
Suddenly, Howie walked in as they went into another make out session.
"Sorry...bad timing." Howie said, covering his eyes and turning around.
"No, it's OK." Heather said, her arms wrapped around Brian's neck.
"Yeah it is." Brian said, smiling from ear to ear.
"I don't get it..." Howie said. "One minute she's mad because you didn't
make the right entrance, the next, you two are kissing like fools."
"You were spying on us, Howie?" Heather asked in a shocked, but then again,
laughing voice.
"What am I supposed to do? Blast my stereo?" Howie asked.
"That's what the others do!" Brian exclaimed.
"I don't always." Kevin said, walking in from the other side. "I listened
to the whole thing, too."
"Where's AJ? I'm expecting him to come in." Brian said, looking from side
to side.
"You won't find him. He's at...somewhere." Kevin said, looking where Brian
was, thinking he was looking for something.
"Oh...in other words, he left." Brian said.
"Yeah. You could say that." Howie said, starting to snicker.
"OK...AJ! Come out!" Heather exclaimed.
"D...why'd you have to do that? Go into a laughing spirt!" AJ said, coming
out from behind the wall up the stairs.
"I couldn't help myself! Plus, I thought that Brian saw you when he ran up
the stairs..." Howie said.
"You didn't see me, Rok?" AJ asked.
"No...I was paying zero amount of attention." Brian said, showing a 'zero'
fist.
Suddenly, the telephone rings, and Brian picks it up.
"That's funny. No one was there." Brian said, laying the phone down.
As soon as he laid the phone down, it rang yet again.
"Hello?" Brian said, picking the phone back up.
It was hung up again.
"Hello? Hello?" Brian kept asking. "Hello?"
"Who is it, Bri?" Heather asked, looking at Brian strangely.
"Whoever it is, hung up again." Brian said, gently putting the phone down.
The phone rang yet again.
"You pick it up." Brian gestured at Kevin.
"Hello? Hello? Is anybody here? Hello? Hello!" Kevin said, waiting for
a reply.
The phone, was yet, hung up.
"Is something going on here, or is it me?" Howie asked, scared of the
responce.
"Something's going on here." Brian said. "And I don't know what."
"What do you mean? Are you sure that you just aren't hearing things? Are
you sure that you aren't getting a reply when you pick up the phone?
Brian..." Heather said, trembling fiercly.
"It's OK." Brian said, wrapping his arms around her.
Brian gestured the others to leave the room while he held her, and soothed
her with "Shhh"'s.
"I'm scared. I don't know what's going on." Heather said, looking out the
window.
Heather suddenly took a deep gasp, and fell straight to the floor.
