"Wake up!" Howie exclaimed, standing straight over Heather and Brian.
"Time to go! We get to get out of the hos-pit-al today!" Howie said,
stretching the word out.
"Yeah." Brian said, almost too weak to say anything. "Finally get out of
this hospital."
"Yeah, I know." Heather said, bobbing her head up and down. "I know!"
"Are we excited?" Howie asked, looking at the two of them laying on their
beds still. "Do we want to stay in the hospital?"
Suddenly, Brian jumped out of bed.
"I'm ready." Brian said, standing tall.
"I'm ready, too." Heather said, slowly getting out of her bed.
"Take your time, we're in no hurry." Brian said, helping steady Heather.
"Thanks." Heather said, feeling dizzy for standing up too fast.
"Man...I still think it's him." AJ said, putting the rest of his shirt on.
"Let's not go there." Kevin said, looking around the room.
"I second that emotion." Nick said, lifting his hand up.
"I third it." Brian said, still steadying Heather.
"I whatever it." Heather said, practically falling down.
"Do you think you're ready to go?" Brian asked Heather, lifting her back to
her feet again.
"Yeah...I'm just not used to walking yet." Heather said, shaking her head.
"So, you're sure?" Brian asked, holding her up.
"I'm not. I want to trash this guy." AJ said, speaking up. "I want to put
him behind bars, where he belongs."
"What makes you think that that is the guy? I'm sure a lot of guys can
talk like that! He's just one of them." Brian said.
"No, Brian, I heard the man talk! You never did! Did you?" AJ asked.
"Well...no, I didn't, but-" Brian said.
"So why are you so sure that I'm wrong?" AJ asked, standing clear of
himself.
"I'm so sure because he's a doctor! Why would he help us, if he tried to
kill us?" Brian asked.
"Because! It'd throw us WAY off track!" AJ exclaimed. "Way!"
"Yeah, it would...but-" Brian said.
"But what? Honestly, Rok, what? I mean, look! If he were to be the guy,
which, he probably is, why would he NOT help us? Then it would throw us off
track, then, he'd let us leave because we aren't READY yet, like Heather."
AJ said, pointing to Heather and shaking his head yes.
"That's an awful mouthful there, AJ." Kevin said, looking at AJ.
"Haha." AJ said.
"I thought it was funny." Howie said, looking at AJ.
"You still don't believe me?" AJ asked. "Fine, don't...but YOU'LL be the
ones to regret it...trust me."
Heather, starting to think AJ might be right, spoke up.
"AJ, I believe you." She said, looking AJ in the eye.
"You do?" AJ asked with joy in his voice.
"Yes. You sound very confident of yourself, and, sorry to say, I wasn't
concious at the time, so I could hear no voice whatsoever." Heather said.
"Thank you! Thank you!" AJ said, clasping his hands together and pointing
them towards Heather. "Thank you."
"Why are you thanking me? You're the one that actually discovered it."
Heather said, getting woozy again.
"Oh whoa." Brian said, steadying Heather some more. "So...if you are
ninety-nine point nine, nine, nine, nine, nine percent sure this is the
guy...I believe you."
"I am! I am!" AJ said, shaking his head fiercly. "I am!"
"Maybe you should listen to him." The doctor said, coming into the room.
"Maybe, he's right."
