A Christmas Wish
"Mom? Why can't Nick come home for Christmas?" Karen asked her mother
"Because Nick is on tour now honey, you know he would be out of town for Christmas break." Her mother said and stroked Karen's hair.
"But I miss him." Karen said softly
"I know you do, I know you do. Well, what is your two Christmas wishes? Oh wait, you can't tell or else it won't come true, so make them up in your head." Karen's mom said happily and looked at her daughter
Karen thought about it and knew it in a instant. "I wish that Nick will come home for Christmas." Then she paused. "I can't think of another one mom." Karen said.
"Yes you do, not in your mind, but in your heart, and that is the one, that will mean more then anything." Karen's mom said and smiled.
