"Nicole, come down here, Howie and Mrs. Dorough have arrived!" My mother called up the stairs. I got really scared.
"Mom, I don't feel to good, I think it would be better if I stay up here." I called back. Howie raised his eyebrows.
"Nicole, you could at least introduce yourself to Howie." Her mother said. I bit my lip.
"Oh god let me get through this." I whispered to myself and walked out of my room. When I saw Howie, I almost collapsed.
"Hi, I'm Howie." Howie greeted. I gave a small smile.
"Hello, I'm Nicole." I said. Howie noticed I wouldn't make eye contact with him.
"Are you ok?" He asked with concern. I just nodded. By then Mrs. Dorough and my mother have left the room.
"Are you sure?" He asked questioningly. I just nodded again and looked around, anywhere but his eyes. I didn't want to fall deeper. Howie lifted his hand to my cheek and made me look into his eyes. His eyes were the most beautiful things I've ever known in life. They lit up when he smiled.
"Um, I think I'm going to lay down." I whispered and ran up to my room. Howie stood there, thinking about what happened.
"God she's beautiful"
