When went to go find a table and Howie excused himself to go get a drink for the 2 of us. I waited about 10 minutes and got a little worried because Howie hadn’t come back. I went to look around and saw him at the bar talking to some girl. A very pretty girl I must add. I couldn’t help but feel a little hurt, and jealous so I went back to the table. A couple minutes later a man with a deep raspy voice came to me.

“Why is a pretty lady like yourself all alone?” He asked. I blushed and looked up.

“My mom’s friends son brought me here to get me out of the house. He’s talking to some girl by the bar.” Aj looked.

“Oh, you mean Howie?” He asked. I nodded. “Yep, that’s him.”

“Well, he was a fool for not staying here with you. If I was him I wouldn’t go 3 steps away from you.” I smiled. A slow song came on. Aj did think I was pretty, but he knew it wouldn’t lead to anything, I knew it wouldn’t either.

“Would you like to dance?” He asked. I nodded my head and we went to the dance floor. We both swayed to the music. I couldn’t help but laugh when I realized it was “All I have to give.” I hummed to the music. v “You a fan of the BSB?” He asked, I laughed a little.

“Yeah, I’m a very big fan to your guy’s music.”

“You know who we are?”

“Yeah, I’ve been a fan for about 3 years, nothing huge, but I love your music.”

“Thanks”

Him and me just danced slowly. In the middle Howie noticed us and felt a little hurt. Later Aj and me went to the table and talked. I don’t know why but I told him everything. Well, what I felt about Howie. AJ listened and smiled. A couple minutes later Howie came to the table and sat beside. Me.

“Hey Nicole, having fun?” He asked softly.

“Yeah, I guess.”

“I am sooo sorry bout taking so long, this girl just kept talking and I didn’t want to be rude.”

“It’s ok, she was pretty.” Howie looked at me and thought about it.

“You don’ think I like her do you?” He asked. I shrugged. “Cause I don’t” He looked at me and tried to figure out what was going on.

“I never said that, I said she was pretty enough that I wouldn’t be surprised if you did.” I said softly. AJ watched this and noticed we were both uncomfortable.

“So Nicole, do you have a boyfriend?” He asked me. I looked at Aj like he was crazy, but answered.

“No, none of the guys over here have any interest in me.” Aj and Howie looked at each other.

“You’ve got to be kidding right, I think your very pretty.” Howie said, I blushed.

“You don’t have to lie Howie.” Howie looked at me and sighed.

“I’m not lying, I don’t lie.” I looked up and saw him staring into my eyes like he did at my house. I wanted so bad to just lean my head closer and let my lips touch his, but pure fear rushed through my body and I looked away. Aj excused himself and went to where a group of girls were standing. We sat there, not speaking for about 10 minutes before “end of the road” came on. Howie looked over my way.

“It’s now or never.” He thought to himself and got up. I sneaked a glance his way and thought he was going to ask a girl to dance. I looked back at the dancers when Howie stood in front of me then kneeled down to where he was eye to eye with me. “Dance with me?” He asked, I couldn’t help but feel a little excited. Ok, maybe I was completely ecstatic. I nodded my head in reply so he took my hand and lead me to the center of the dance floor. He grabbed both of my hands and placed them around his neck, then he wrapped his arms around my waist. We both swayed to the music, looking at the rest of the crowd until he looked at me, and I looked at him. We both smiled.

“How come I haven’t seen you before until yesterday?” He asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

“I stayed inside most of the time, and besides, you were gone a lot of the time.” He nodded his head and pulled me a little closer. I laid my head on his shoulder and breathed in his cologne, god did he smell good! The song ended way to soon, and before I knew it another fast song came on. I was about to walk back to the table but Howie grabbed my hand.

“Come on, dance.” He said. The song that was on was “Living La Vida Loca.” By Ricki Martin. He smiled an adorable smile and I couldn’t say no. I thought we would just dance apart, but he had other plans I guess. He twirled me, spinned me, and dipped me. By the time the song was over we realized we were in the middle of a circle of people! Everyone started whistling and cheering, I blushed a nice shade of crimson.
