Brian looked at her and saw her sighed.
"What's the matter?" He asked her, She looked at him and smiled softly.
"Nothing." He looked at her again and saw her just sit there. Both of them sat there, both not wanting to move. Finally Kat moved and walked over to her dresser. She picked up her brush and started brushing her hair. Brian watched for a minute before he walked over to her and took the brush from. He guided her to the bed and she sat down. He sat down behind her and started brushing her hair softly.
"Brian, there's something else I didn't tell you." Kat whispered.
"What's that?" Brian asked and turned her around so she was facing him.
"I think I'm in love. With this guy, He's really nice, and sweet, and I care about him a lot." Kat said, she couldn't tell him it was him. Brian's heart broke a little.
"Why am I getting upset? She's my best friend, that's it." He told himself and put on a smile.
"So who's the lucky guy?" He asked, "Is it someone I know?"
"You could say that." Kat said, "Actually you know him better then anyone else."
Brian sat there and was trying to figure out who it was, he couldn't.
"Come on Kat, who is it?" Brian whined. Kat gave him a smile a shut her lips. Inside her heart was beating faster then normal. He began to pout but she just hopped off the bed and got dressed. Both of them decided to Nick's house cause Brian knew everyone else was going to be there. They got into his Jeep and drove off. Both were silent on the way there and when they reached the door, Brian knew something was up. Brian opened the door and saw all the guys in the living room. They turned around and saw Brian and me.
"Hey Kat, Brian, what's up?" Nick called over and went over to us.
"Hey Nick. Hey guys." Kat greeted and walked over to them and gave them all hugs. Kat sat next to Howie.
"Sweet D. hmmm, haven't changed a bit huh?" Kat asked. Howie laughed.
"Kat, it's only been 2 weeks." He said.
"Ah, but you see, people can change in two weeks, it ain't that hard." She argued. He shrugged his shoulders and looked at her.
"You haven't changed either Kat." He said.
"I know, didn't feel like it." She answered and got up. Brian watched as those two were laughing and playing around.
"Does she love him, is it him? Nah couldn't be, but they are being really friendly. I do know him well, she seems to care about him. Oh my gosh, it is him! Ok, Brian calm down, it's none of your business, who cares if she loves him? I mean it's not like you like her or anything. Or do I? NO, No, No! You don't she's your best friend, you can't!." Brian was thinking to himself when the doorbell rang. He went to open it and he saw a very attractive woman at the door.
"Hi, may I help you?" He choked out. The woman looked him over and a smile spread across her face.
"Hi, I'm Charise. Are you Brian?" She asked
"Um, yes." Again the woman smiled.
"This is too easy." She thought and walked past him.
"Well, I came to see if this is really where the Backstreet Boys live, I'm a really big fan." She purred into his ear. Brian started breathing a little heavier. Kat was watching this and her heart started breaking. She knew Brian was attracted to her.
"You knew you wouldn't get him, don't let yourself fall apart, not now." She thought to herself as she saw Brian and the Charise talking, laughing, and finally Brian asking her to go on a date with her.
