Brian grabbed my arm as I tried to walk out the door.

"Nikki, you know you don't mean that." He said sternly. He looked in my eyes and saw how hurt I was.

"Maybe I do Brian. I'm not part of his life you know it! You all know it! I've been replaced. He loves Candy she's his lover, his girlfriend, his love, and now his best friend! What do you expect me to do Brian, keep praying that one day he'll come to me and make everything ok? Well, he's not. If I'm not part of his life, then he's not part of mine." I grabbed my bag and walked out the door, I didn't know where to go but I had to get out of there. I decided to go Nick's place and mine. No one knew about it, it was our place. We both made a promise never to show it to anybody. I went down the beach and over the cliffs to where there was a small-secluded beach where everything was perfect. I sat there, watching the waves crash in when I heard a voice. I ran behind a rock and listened. I knew that voice anywhere. It was Nick! But then another voice was there. It couldn't be.

"Yeah this is mine and Nikki's place. When we were smaller we'd come here and hang out to get away from everyone." I couldn't believe him.

"He brought her here! He brought her here to our spot." My eyes glazed over with tears and I snuck away to where I was finally away from them. "How could he do this? Why is he doing this?" I thought sadly and walked back to my house. I saw Brian's car parked outside. I knew Brian had a key so my first thought was to walk away, but I suddenly decided to go in, I needed to talk. I walked in and Brian was sitting on the steps waiting, he saw my blood-shot eyes, and he knew I was crying. He got up and gave me a hug.

"What happened girly?" He asked calling me my nickname. It always made me smile because he used to say I was his girly.

"He brought her to our spot, Nick brought her to our secret spot! He promised he wouldn't!" I cried and buried my head in his chest. I smelled his cologne and he stroked my air, trying to sooth me and comfort me.

Brian stayed with me all day and later we decided to go to Nick's house. Actually I was forced cause Brian wouldn't let me stay alone. SO I grabbed my overnight pack and climbed in the car. When we walked in everybody smiled softly at me. That's when I saw Nick and Candy on the couch playing Nintendo.

"He used to play Nintendo with me." I thought and just decided to ignore it. Brian and I sat on the other couch and talked quietly. Nick turned around and saw me.

"Hey Nikki, where ya been?" He asked all smiles. I tried so hard not to give him a mean look but I couldn't do anything else.

"Places." I replied coldly and turned around. Nick raised his eyebrows and looked at Brian. Brian shrugged his shoulders. Nick whispered something to Candy and got up. He came over to me and reached for my hand to grab it but I pulled away sharply. Now Nick knew something was really wrong.

"Nikki come on, we have to talk." He said, I shook my head.

"About what Nick?" I asked. He didn't understand why I was acting like this.

"Come on." He said and this time was able to grab my hand. When I got up I pulled my hand away but followed him. We went up to his room and he locked the door.

"What's going on Nikki?" He asked me. I refused to look at him. He sighed. "What's going on?" He asked again. I shook my head.

"Nothing Nick, what seems to be the problem?" I asked. He groaned.

"You know damn well what the problem is! Why are you giving me the cold shoulder? What did I do?" He asked angrily. You see, I wasn't that mad at the beginning, but when he rose his voice to me I stood up and slapped him. He covered his cheek where I'd hit him.

"You wanna know what the problem is? The problem is I am no longer your best friend! I've been replaced by your girlfriend! She's all you ever think about, she's the only person you care about!" I screamed. He looked at me in shock.

"What are you talking bout? I care bout you! You know that!" He yelled right back.

"Yeah right, when? When she's gone for a weekend? When she's out of town? When Nick, cause I sure can't seem to find a time!" I yelled louder.

"Your just jealous cause I found the love of my life and you haven't found yours! That's all this is, your jealous!" He exclaimed. My eyes filled with tears.

"That's it nick, I am jealous! Ever since she's been here I've lost you! Your not there anymore, your always with her, trying to make her happy! I've been completely pushed out of your life cause of her. I can't even trust you any more!" I screamed.

"Come on Nikki, she's my girlfriend, what else do you expect? I love her, she loves me! Were supposed to be together!"

"So everyone else is out? Is that it Nick?" I asked.

"That's not it! God Nikki can't you be a little more considerate?" He screamed. I punched this time. Square in the eye.

"I am very considerate! I've put up with you this long haven't I?" I yelled, "I've been good to you Nick! I've been there for you, I've taken care of you. And all you do is stab me right in the back!"

"When have I stabbed you in the back?" He asked. Anger in his eyes.

"You took her to our spot." I said softly, but hurt. His eyes went wide and regret filled his face. "I went there to get away from the pain I felt at your house so I went to our spot to figure things out, and guess who was there?" I stood up and walked out of the room.

"Nikki I'm…." He started but I cut him off.

"Forget it Nick, it's not worth it anymore." I whispered and walked out of the room.
