“What should I buy?” I mumbled to myself. I was walking through the aisles of the store trying to buy some food to eat when I heard someone call my name.

“Nikki!” I turned around and there was Kevin.

“Hey Kevy!” I walked towards him and gave him a hug.

“What’s up?” He asked. I shrugged my shoulders. v “Grocery shopping.”

“Same here.”

“Why don’t we go shopping together that way we can bear through this miserable task.” He nodded his head.

“Alright.” We walked through the store grabbing what we needed. Finally Kevin asked the question he wanted to know all day.

“So is everything ok between you and Nick?” I nodded my head.

“Yeah, I realized it wasn’t meant to be. I’ll always have some sort of feelings for him, but nothing that could keep us together in that way.” He nodded his head.

“So what’s going on between you and Brian?” I could swear he was smirking.

“What do you mean?”

“I see the way you 2 look at each other, is there something going on?”

“No Kevin, nothing is going on. We’re really are just friends.”

“I know your lying.”

“Ok, so maybe I like him, but I can’t tell him that. He’s best friends with Nick, how can I tell him I like him after I told Nick I liked him?”

“Maybe Brian will understand.”

“How could he understand when I can’t even understand?” I sighed and picked up a box of Mac and Cheese.

“Whatever is meant to be will be. And I think you and Brian are meant to be. What do you feel around him?” Kevin Asked.

“It’s hard to explain, I’m so comfortable with him. He can make me smile so easily, without even trying. All he has to do is look at me and something inside of me lights up.”

“Can Nick do that?” I thought about it.

“No.” I whispered, “He can’t.”

“I think that should make you understand.” Kevin said and gave me a hug.

“Thanks Kev.” I said and paid for my things.

“No problem Nikki.” I left the store to my house.

“How am I going to do this?” I asked myself, “Well, whatever is meant to be will be.”
