Did you ever ask yourself, or someone else.. I wonder what ever happened to so and so? Take for instance Jimmie Rodgers of "Honeycomb" fame.
For years and years I thought he was dead! Not so.. I find out recently!
He was featured in a show in Branson Missouri and is very much alive and still out there.
Imagine my surprise! I was sitting at my computer screen saying.. "Well I'll be darned, I don't believe it!"
Here is a link to a page I discovered by doing a late-night surf marathon. Jimmie Rodgers
Update! May 5/2000 I recently received email from Michael Rodgers, who is Jimmie's eldest son. Click here to read the letters.

Now here's another favorite of mine that I have wondered about for a long time Gene Pitney! I wrote him a letter in the sixties, thinking I'd never get a reply, but much to my surprise and delight, I not only got back a personal letter but a Christmas card too! I wish I still had those today. :o( |
"There's a village hidden deep in the valley, among the pine trees half forlorn, and there one sunny morning little Jimmy Brown was born"
Do those lyrics ring any bells out there? Ever wonder what happened to The Browns? So did I until just recently. Thankyou to Jane for sending me the page!
How about Dodie Stevens? Remember Tan Shoes and Pink Shoelaces, a polka dot vest and man Oh man! She is still out there folks. Believe it or not !
I have had a request for information on Peter & Gordon After Peter and Gordon split, Peter Asher became A&R director for the Beatles' Apple Records, then moved to Los Angeles. As a record producer, he helped usher in the mellow "California rock" sound made famous by many artists he worked with, including Linda Ronstadt and James Taylor.
Gordon Waller issued a few unsuccessful solo singles, including "The Lady in
the Window," before largely retreating from the music world. In August,
he is scheduled to appear at a Beatlefest in Chicago.
Here's another one : Chad and Jeremy . Jeremy Clyde now stars on a British sit-com called "Is it Legal" Chad Stuart hosts a radio show in the Northwest US.(Not sure but it could be KECH 95.3 FM - Idaho) Jeremy has a son that stars as the character Will Cortlandt on "All My Children". Chad and Jeremy reunited for a new album in
1983- "Of Cabbages & Kings".
I've had a request for info on TheGrass Roots The band has gone through many changes over the years, but the original lead singer Rob Grill, is still out there and touring with a newer version of the band. Here's Lesley Gore Lesley is still touring and this is an excellent site for tours and bio info. Her latest performance was January 10 - 13 2001 at the Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas. Watch for a new CD out soon.

Peter Noone was the M.C. and he was fantastic. If the program comes to your neck of the woods, don't miss it !
