Savage Garden

Darren Hayes, who sings the lead vocals for their hot tunes, teamed up with Daniel Jones, who plays the keyboard and guitar, to form Savage Garden. The Australian cuties had always wanted to be famous, and a year after they decided to be musicians, the two had their first single, "I Want You", turn into a smash hit. Their second single, "Truly Madly Deeply", kept their self-titled album, 'Savage Garden', on the charts for over a year.

At first they were just a big hit in Europe and Canada, but it wasn't really doubted that the Backstreet Boys were going to take over the teen crowds here in the U.S. as well. Nick Carter, Brian Litrell, Howie Dorough, A.J. McLean, and Kevin Richardson forms the group, whose melodies and charms seem to be capable of taking over the teen population. Their single, "Quit Playing Games With My Heart", won over the charts, and their other songs keep us tuned in.
