From the President

Heather Farms Gardens - Saturday April 3, 9:30am Don Meeker will organize a work party to trim and clean up the Club's display of in-ground bonsai trees at the Heather Farms Gardens. Call Don if you can help, 925-933-4472.

San Ramon Park Juniper. Saturday morning, April 17. A sign up sheet for the first work-study meeting of this long term Club project will also be available at the April class meetings.

Please help with the clean up and storing of the Club materials. People are encouraged to leave in groups of two or more and be sure that Lois is not left to close alone.

Club Library, Carol Lynn Hansen Bassett, is the Club librarian. Please assist Carol in maintaining the Library. Always checking out materials when you borrow them and be sure to return them on time. There are a lot of valuable resources available in the Club Library for study and review.

April 3-4. Sacramento Bonsai Sekiyu Kai. 27th Annual Bonsai Show at the Sacramento Buddhist Church Betsuin, 2401 Riverside Boulevard. 12 noon - 6pm Saturday, 10am - 5pm Sunday. Demonstrations 2pm by John Uchida.

April 3-4. Modesto. Modesto Spring Bonsai Show at Thomas Downey High School, 1000 Coffee Rd. 10AM to 4PM both days. Demonstrations at 10:30AM by club members and at 1:30PM by George Fujita both days.

April 17-18. San Jose. San Jose Betsuin Bonsai Club 34th Annual Spring Exhibit at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, 640 North Fifth Street. Saturday 12Noon-5PM , Sunday 11AM-4PM. Demonstrations at 2:00PM both days by Harry Hirao.

April 24-25. Cupertino. 44th Annual Kusamura Bonsai Club Show at the Campus Center, De Anza College, 21250 Steven Creek Blvd. (across the street from the Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival). Saturday 12Noon-5PM , Sunday 11AM-5PM. Demonstrations at 1:30PM both days.

April 24-25. San Francisco. Cherry Blossom Festival 2004. Bonsai & Suiseki Exhibition in the Sakura Room of the Radisson Miyako Hotel, Japan Town, Post and Laguna Streets. 10AM to 5PM both days.

April 25. Napa. Napa Valley Bonsai Club 26th Annual Bonsai Show at the Napa Senior Activity Center, 1500 Jefferson St. Sunday 11AM-5PM. Demonstrations at 1:30PM by Jim Gremel.

May 1-2. Sacramento. Sacramento Bonsai Club 58th Annual Show at the Sacramento Buddhist Church, 2401 Riverside Boulevard. Saturday 12Noon-5PM , Sunday 10AM-4PM. Demonstrations at 2PM both days.
