June Meetings:
Club meetings are in the Rotary Room of the Heather Farms Garden Center,Walnut Creek, on the 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of each month, from 7:30PM to 9:30PM. The Rotary Room is on the lower level of the Garden Center. A ramp leading to the lower level is to the left of the Main Building Entrance off the parking lot. We are able to provide vehicular access to the lower level for a few members who may be disabled or have very large trees to carry in to the meetings.
Meetings will start promptly at 7:30PM with a brief business meeting, and will end at 9:30PM. Please be ready to meet at 7:30PM.
Bring plant material appropriate to the class topic for the workshop. Working on the tree in the style discussed aids in understanding the lecture and the style.
Wednesday - June 8th - Basic Class Meeting. 7:30 - 8:00PM -Basic Class Lecture Topic: Critique of Members trees. 8:00 - 9:30PM Workshop, Bring your 04-05 projects and other trees you want to work to improve. Refreshments: Alan Chin.
Clean up and help close: Alan Chin and Jan Mahoney.
Tuesday June 7, Board Meeting, Charlotte Wood School, Danville, 7:30PM.
Wednesday - June 15th - Intermediate Class Meeting. 7:30 - 8:00PM -Intermediate Class Lecture Topic: Critique of Members Trees. 8:00 - 9:30PM Workshop. Refreshments: Robert Lausten.
Clean up and assist with closing: Robert Lausten and Don Meeker.
Saturday - June 18th, 9:30AM - Forest Home Farms Park, San Ramon, work on the old in ground Juniper. The Park is on the West side of San Ramon Valley Blvd, between Alcosta and Bollinger Canyon.

Bonsai Plant Sale - June 4th, Charlotte Wood School Parking Lot - A number of trees did not sell at the April Spring Show, these Club trees now being maintained by the donating members will be sold to Club members in the parking lot of the Charlotte Wood School, Saturday June 4th, 9:30 to 11:00AM. This is a good chance to add that special tree to your collection or to get trees to donate at next years Club Show.

Diablo Bonsai Club Look Ahead Schedule
Wednesday July 12th - Joint Class Meeting 7:30PM - Lecture 7:30-8:00PM - Care of trees during Summer dormancy and Review of Year. Workshop. Refreshments: Marcia Cozins and Jack Mahshi. Assist with close: Marci Cozins and Don Meeker. The August Meeting will also be a Joint Class Meeting.

June 4th and 5th, Oakland - Bay Area Satsuki Aikokai 11th Annual Satsuki Bonsai Show at the Lakeside Park Garden Center, 666 Bellevue Ave. Show hours are 10AM - 5PM both days. Demonstrations using mature trees each day at 1:30PM.
June 4th and 5th, San Mateo - Sei Boku Bonsai Kai 22nd Annual show "The Flowers of Spring" at the San Mateo Garden Center, 605 Parkside Way. Show hours are 11AM to 4:30PM both days. Demonstrations 12noon-3PM both days by Steve Jang and Tim Kong on Saturday and Steve Iwaki and Mike Page on Sunday.
June 5, Seaside - Monterey Bonsai Club 38th Annual Exhibition at the Monterey Buddhist Temple in Seaside at 1150 Noche Buena. Show hours are 11AM to 4PM. Demonstration at 2PM by Katsumi Kinoshita.
June 18-19th, Oakland - California Suiseki Society 11th Annual Suiseki Exhibition “The Japanese Art of Stone Appreciation,” at the Lakeside Park Garden Center, 666 Bellevue Ave. Show hours are 10AM-5PM both days. Free Admission.
June 30 - July 4th, San Rafael - Marin Bonsai Club Annual Bonsai Show at the Marin Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium, at the Marin County Fairgrounds, Highway 101 (exit N. San Pedro Rd.). Show hours are 11AM-10PM daily. Admission to the Fair is $11 adults, $9 seniors 65 and older and children ages 4 to 12. Free for children under 4.
