June Meetings

Meetings are held in the large upstairs room at the Heather Farm Garden Center, Walnut Creek, and are scheduled on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 7:00PM to 9:30PM.

Bonsai Pot Field Trip - Kathy Souther found an interesting source for bonsai pottery, Royala Pacific Arts & Crafts.  They have some nice pots at quite reasonable prices; check out their website at www.royolapac.com.  If there is enough interest, we will organize a group visit to their location in Hayward.  Let Kathy or I know if you are interested in a field trip during the next month or two.

Bonsai Pot Field Trip - Byron Nobriga has recommended "Ruben's Plant Sale", an annual event which has it's second day on Saturday, June 6th. See the details below in the "Events Elsewhere" section

(All of above available in trained form in bonsai pots or as stock, plants in various size containers). Monterey Bonsai Club 44th Annual Exhibition at the Monterey Buddhist Temple in Seaside at 1150 Noche Buena. Show hours are 11AM-4PM. Demonstration at 1:30PM by Katsumi Kinoshita. Sales area will include bonsai, pots and plants. For more information, email joembyrd@pacbell.net.

San Jose Betsuin Bonsai Club: 39th Annual Bonsai Exhibit at the San Jose Betsuin Buddhist Church, 640 North 5th Street. Hours: Saturday, 12PM-4PM, and Sunday 11AM-4PM. Yukiyama Bonsai Kai: Annual Bonsai show will be held at Moana Lane Nursery, corner of Lakeside Dr. and Moana Lane. Hours are Saturday, 10AM-5PM and Sunday, 10AM-3PM with demonstrations at 1PM both days. Demonstration trees will be raffled. Admission is free..
