June Meetings

Meetings are held in the large upstairs room at the Heather Farm Garden Center, Walnut Creek, and are scheduled on the second Tuesday of the month, from 7:30PM to 9:30PM. 

Tuesday, June 8th -  Joint Class Meeting
                                         Lecture 7:30 - 8:00 p.m. .

                                         Workshop 8:00 – 9:30 p.m.  Please bring trees to display at the Gallery Show (see Notes section).
                                         Refreshments and help with cleanup and close: Norm Wanek and Bob Brown.

Notes

Gallery Show - The club will be participating in the Alamo Danville Artists' Society Gallery Show during the months of June and July. We will display three trees each weekend (Fri - Sun) from June 9th until August 1st. If you have trees that can be displayed during the show, please bring them to the June 8th meeting. 'K' must approve each tree that is to be shown.  We will also need club members to staff the exhibit as much of the time trees are on display as is possible. If you know when you might be available to staff the exhibit, we can begin to draw up a schedule at the June meeting.

Sei Boku Bonsai Kai: 27th Annual Show at the San Mateo Garden Center, 605 Parkside Way. Hours are 10AM-4PM both days. Demonstrations at 1PM on Saturday by John ‘JT’ Thompson and on Sunday by Valerie Monroe. A raffle will follow the demonstrations. Plant and bonsai related items for sale and ‘Dr. Bonsai’ tree clinic. Monterey Bonsai Club 47th Annual Exhibition at the Monterey Buddhist Temple, 1155 Noche Buena. Show hours are 11AM-4PM. Demonstration at 1:30PM by Katsumi Kinoshita. Sales area will include bonsai, pots and plants. For more information email Joe Byrd atjoembyrd@pacbell.net

Saturday and Sunday, June 12-13 - Reno, Nevada
Yukiyama Bonsai Kai: Annual Show to be held at the Garden Shop Nursery at the historic Caughlin Ranch, 3636 Mayberry Drive. Hours are Saturday, 10AM-5PM and Sunday, 10AM-3PM. Amador Bonsai Society: 13th Annual Bonsai Show at Ridge Road Garden Center, 18815 Ridge Road. .Hours are 10AM-4 PM.
