Over 700 people filled the Fundy Arena Saturday night as the SilverKings fought for first place against the Can-Am Cobras. The action was fast and furious and oh yeah there were a lot of fights too. There were players fighting on the ice, there were fans fighting in the stands. People were hanging from the rafters trying to catch all the action. By the time the RCMP arrived things were starting to settle down a bit but a few people needless to say were escorted from the event. Plenty of officers and at least 4 cruisers were at the arena as the game ended with the Kings losing to the Cobras. What was an explosive game ended with just a sizzle.
I want to thank everyone for the calls and email about this past weeks council meeting I attended. Unfortunately not many showed up at the meeting, but everybody’s interest was peaked by Barb Rayners article on the front page of the Weekend Courier. Most pledged their support as I have told them I plan to attend as many council meetings in the future as possible. My biggest disappointment of that meeting wasn’t necessarily the outcome thus far, it was the lack of devotion they seem to have for their position. When I asked them to express their opinion publicly in the open for all to hear regarding my matter they refused. I thought they were supposed to answer to the people. Morris Harris was particularly upset that I asked them to express their opinion publicly. I thought secrecy and closed-door meeting were to only deal with personnel issues but apparently not. Good news to report though, the fire department had a call this week and the trucks worked fine.

Latest news reports advise that a cell of 4 terrorists has been operating in Newfoundland, Canada.
Police advised earlier today that 3 of the 4 have been detained.
The Newfoundland Provincial Police Commissioner stated that the
terrorists Bin Sleepin, Bin Drinkin and Bin Fightin have been
arrested
on immigration issues.
The Police advise further that they can find no one fitting the
description of the fourth cell member, Bin Workin, in the province.
Police are confident that anyone who looks like Workin will be very
easy to spot in the community
